Every Skill You Have, You Learned. Nobody Taught You This One.
You can hold a career. You can work a room at a networking event. You’ve got connections, accomplishments, a resume you’re proud of.
And somehow it ends the same way. Friendly conversation that goes nowhere. The moment where you realise you have no idea what to say next. The quiet drive home replaying what you should have said.
The freeze before you walk over has a name. It’s approach anxiety, and it’s the single most common thing men arrive here with. Second is not knowing how to keep a conversation moving once it has started.
Some men carry it further. Always the ride, always the errand-runner, the one people keep around because he never asks for more. Not because he’s a loser, but because he’s so starved for any real connection that he’ll take the scraps.
Here’s what 20 years of coaching thousands of men has proven. This was never about your face, your height, your income, or your worth as a man. It’s one missing skill. Every other skill you have, you learned. Nobody ever taught you this one. That’s all.
Meet JT Tran
JT Tran is the founder of ABCs of Attraction. He was an aerospace engineer who couldn’t hold a conversation with a stranger, so he spent 20 years studying confidence, communication, and social dynamics as a system.
Today he’s the only coach in his field invited to speak at Harvard, Yale, and Wharton. He’s been featured on ABC Nightline, NBC, CBS, Fox, and BBC, and has coached thousands of men over two decades.
Confidence, Social Skills, And Knowing What To Say
Everything ABCs teaches runs on the ABCDEF System. It’s holistic, which means it works on three things at once instead of one at a time: the confidence to act, the social skills to hold a room, and knowing what to actually say and do in the moment. Inner game, outer game and verbal game, taught together rather than as separate subjects.
That matters because every other route hands you one of the three and leaves the rest. Confidence content gives you belief with no method. Style and grooming change how you look, not what happens when you open your mouth. Scripts give you words that stop working the second the conversation moves off the script. Most men arrive here having tried at least one of those and found it only moved one piece.
Six phases, learned in order, run as yourself. It’s the reason men choose a coach here over a generic program: a map rather than a list of tips, built over two decades.

- Attitude & ApproachYou see someone worth talking to and do nothing. Twenty minutes later you leave. This is approach anxiety, and it is the single most common thing men arrive here with. You learn to open without a script and without waiting for permission, so walking over stops being a decision you have to win every time.
- Be Present & BanterThe opener worked. Two minutes in it is dying and you are asking what they do for a living. You learn to read interest while it is happening, so you stop pouring energy into someone who checked out a minute ago and stop missing the ones who did not.
- Comfort & ConnectThey like you fine. You are the friendly one nobody thinks about again. You learn to build real trust without fading into the background. That is the trap that catches analytical, agreeable men hardest, and it is why safe, friendly banter never turns into anything.
- Decisiveness & Direct IntentYou never say what you actually want, so nobody has to decide. You learn to say it plainly and hold your ground when it lands. Our own exit surveys name this as the sticking point most men still have when they leave, which is why we spend the most time on it.
- Evaluate & EngageReading the room wrong in both directions. Pushing when you should wait, waiting when you should move. You learn when a conversation has gone as far as talking can take it, so you stop talking indefinitely and start turning it into a plan with a time and a place.
- FutureTurning one good conversation into something that lasts, and not sliding back to how you were in six weeks. You learn the difference between confidence and a performance you are holding up. That distinction is what stops the whole thing evaporating a month after the training ends.
It works at 25, at 35, and at 45. Because it’s a skill, not luck.
Real Students. Real Words.
“It was honestly one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It encouraged me to be more ‘scientific’ about what works and what doesn’t, instead of just making assumptions. He also emphasized being respectful to everyone… he wants us to leave everyone we meet better off than we found them. The lessons apply to everyone regardless of race or ethnicity. I am not Asian, I’m Caucasian, and I feel like I got just as much value.”

“JT is teaching men to feel confident, empowered, and to personally develop themselves inside and out. It was the total opposite of toxic. I’d totally recommend this.”

“It applies to everything: business, networking, talking to people you’ve had a hard time talking to. You will be a changed person.”

How the Free Coaching Call Works
No pressure, no pitch marathon. You’ll talk with an ABCs coach about where you are now, what you want to change, and whether one of our programs is the right fit. If it is, we’ll show you the path. If it’s not, we’ll tell you honestly.
Before You Book, The Things Men Actually Ask
- Do you coach in my city?
- Bootcamps run in Los Angeles most often, and over the past two years also in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Austin, Nashville, Seattle, Miami and Toronto. Phone and video coaching runs from anywhere. If your city is not on that list, ask on the call and we will tell you what is scheduled.
- I'm 38. Is it too late?
- Our students run from 22 to 49, and a meaningful share arrive after a big life change: a move, a new job, the end of a long chapter. The work is the same at 38 as at 25. There is just less patience for wasting another year.
- Does it work if I am not Asian?
- Yes. Around a quarter of our students are white, and clients come from every background. JT built it for Asian men who were never handed social status, and almost all of what it teaches is how people interact.
- Will anyone find out?
- No. Nothing you say on the call goes anywhere else, we never publish client names, and student reviews on our own forum use anonymous avatars. A lot of men carry real shame about needing this, particularly in families where the need is not supposed to exist.
- I hate bars and clubs.
- So do a lot of our students. The skills are for daytime, work events and ordinary rooms. Nightlife is one venue, not the method.
- I've already read everything.
- Most men who book have. Reading is how you got a correct map of a place you have never been. The gap between knowing and doing is the entire product.
- Is this only for social life?
- No. Students have used the same structure for job interviews, salary negotiation and repairing family relationships.
