Ralph's Beginner's Hell PUA Journal: Now with pics see pg 3!

Whats up everyone, I'm Ralph. I recently met K-Feng for dinner. He randomly happened to be in Michigan too. Told me about going in direct. I never went direct in my life until Friday night 2/5/10 haha. I'm 25, registered nurse, still live at home (yes i know) whatever I will find a way. I usually tell girls that I just got in an argument with my roommate and moved back home. While I am looking for a place.

So today. I was at the gym working out and I see this super cute white chic. Blonde and tanned on the machines. I thought I really need to take Kevin's advice and get used to going direct. The day before I was going to do it but I chickened out when I was at the mall. I did not do any day game approaches. I was close but nope then I was pissed at myself for not doing it. I think its a semi DHV when you go into a guy/girl store and start looking at womens clothing as if you are confused haha. Cute tall blonde chic asked me for help but then I got skerd! haha Whatever so today I thought of how pissed I was the day before not opening that girl at the mall.

So today these are the thoughts that came into my head "hmmm I should go direct to that chic". Then another thought came up. "Ehh I'll just open other chics and just get my workout on and study more day game approaches later" - BAM I was like HELL NO I just made up an excuse. So I said to myself "FUCK THAT IM GOING IN AND OPENING" I need to practice and see how it goes since I only have done direct game openers at night for the past two nights.

So I finish up my workout and I start walking up to her. Keep in mind she has her earphone on lol. So I go up to her and smile, and she takes off her ear phones. Here is the convo:

Me: I know that this is REALLY random...
She: Oh its okay...
Me: BUT... I saw you over here and I just had to say that I think you are really adorable and I JUST had to meet you"
(in between she feels flattered, her body sinks in a bit with "awww" in her mind.

I try the Adam Lyons move saying like im in a rush etc.

Me: Well you know what I am in a rush and I would really love to get to know you better and get some coffee.
Her: With a very sad facial expression. She says "Oh I have a bf"
Me: Oh its cool well at least I have no regrets (which is true)

After I walked back to the locker I was like HELL YEAH DID MY 1ST DIRECT DAY GAME APPROACH BABY!!!

Im at a coffee shop right now looking for some potentials but I did get my one set it. I think I'll start doing that at my gym and start going to other gyms as well hahah

You're from GR? Ha that's awesome... well with the hesitation it is from not being used to it. Just like as it was for night game. My very first indirect approach I hesitated and I'm like shit! Once I get one in then im good for the rest of the night. I have a lot of friends from Denver who live there. You must be Viet huh?

I am, but I'm white on the inside. I live in Boulder, CO where there are only about 9 minorities--not kidding.

I have not been consistant since I have been working midnights but whatever. I dont know if this challenge goes only for day game or for both? Anyway I went out to the bar last night.

I opened up at least 7 sets diectly. I do not remember how many because I lost count but last time I remember I was at 5. Then I did a few more sets. So then I was at the bar I make eye contact with this white chic, so then I smile at her and waive back. Doing a little bit of Gamblers Stealth attraction. So after that I get my drink and open her direct. I don't know what happend but she was a bit in shock I think. Body language was bad with her. She was leaning away from me and I'm like WTF?! lol whatever so then I leave.

Next one cute chic again. Went in direct. Oh I said, "I saw you over that and I thought you were fucking cute". I added FUCKING this time to see the effecitveness of it. So again it did not go well some chic was like oh wow thanks.

Moving along. I see this really cute tall blonde chic. Shes about 6 foot and Im only 5'11. So then I opened her same shit. Shes like wow I would love to talk to you but I have a boyfriend. So I was like shit she started to ask me where I was from, so I said LA haha to be different. She was like yeah I can tell. I was like how? She replies, "by the way you dress etc" lol. So then we chat a bit more so then I was like that sucks you have a bf we would've gotten to know each other better. So then Im like fuck it might as well get feedback. So I asked her what she thought of my approach. She tells me that it was real good and if she did not have a boyfriend then she would've been like "okay cool lets go get a drink" - Wow the power of direct is awesome haha.

So then I see another set 2 Asian guys facing the bar with 2 white chics behind them. One was really cute so I was like damn, they're with Asian dudes so they must like Asian men haha. I thought to myself "Ok I have a 50/50 chance, they can be either friends or not, only way to find out is to open that chic". So I go in direct and ask how they all know each other and stuff. The cute one is seeing the Asian dude. I am like wow okay well its better to know than not know at all. Then I dip out of that set.

Next set I see this dark hair chic with some other rocker goth girl. So I am like fuck it open them. At first when I saw them at the bar I thought that the girl she was with was okay (non-goth chic). So I pass by and Im like whatever practice. So I open the non-goth chic, once I started to chat about setting up a day 2. I saw that she had a ring on and she told me she was engaged. So then I ejected.

I see a mixed set. I had to assess the situation first. I see this guy that seems as if they are just friends. He is not kinoing the shit out of her or anything. Either that is a gay friend or just friends. So I open the tall blonde. Nothing really to well went from there. Chat for 5 mins then leave.

Last set I can remember. I was at a table sitting with my friend chillin. Then I see this girl sitting by herself. I thought to myself "okay a girl never is alone at the bar" so then I wait and see another dude open her. Then after that her friend came. I did not really care about the guy that opened her because I realized that her friend who came back is way cuter. So then I go in BAM open her while the guy is talking to the girl might as well help him out and myself since it was a 2 set into a 3 set. So I open her friend who comes back. I get a good vibe. Then I start to qualify and ask her her passions etc. she says her DAUGHTER is her passion. No shit she hooks because most guys i.e. like me find out she has a man runs away. So I fake it and see how it will go. I do the kiss routine but did not make out did the whole kiss me on the cheek here and she did the other. I kept thinking okay I am going to kiss her. Then I # close for fun then I point to my lips kiss me there. I was in total comfort at least I think I was. Then after that her friend turns to her and mouths her "lets get outta here!" So she tells me shes gotta go save her friend.

I think the last set went well is because shes a babys momma. I am not sure if any of you read the book - Evolution of Desire by David Buss, but it basically talks about if you are a babys momma they are of lower value and lack resources. They try to find another form or resource. Since they got screwed over by having a baby. I dont know if that is the case or not. I feel as if it is. I also joined match.com just for the hell of it and pick up chics since its the weather can be bad at times and I message girls on there. Anyway I noticed that the girls I would message, I would get more replies to girls who have kids. I.E. - they are at the bottom of the mating market and are more undesirable.

So anyway going direct is fun it sucks in the beginning. After getting a few direct openers in it is not bad at all. Its like when you're on the bench press, its hard to get it up at first then once you got it up it is a bit easier.

You're kickin ass so far.... keep getting more sets under your belt. I like your analysis and definitely keep the field reports coming.

One slight alteration I might make...... if you're going to try a new tactic.... like "I added fucking to the first portion of the opener", be sure to test it out on 10 girls before you make an executive decision on it, one set doesn't give you that much information.

Kevin I acutually did it for the whole night and it seems to work. I just made the assumption that people who read this will think that I said "Hey I saw you over that and I think you're fucking cute" to all my sets.

Anyway,

So tonight I just got home. Its fucking cold here in MI yesterday was the "huge snow storm" so not many people are out. Roads are a bit slick whatever I'm hardcore well trying to be. So tonight my wing and I went out. Went to a few bars fucking dead as hell maybe its cold out its like 21 degrees out right now. I just opened 3 sets with direct.

All the sets I opened were something along the lines of, "Hey I saw you there and I thought you're fucking cute (pause) HI I'm Ralph"

So first set my friend told me that there were chics IOIing us at the bar so I said which ones he points to them. I said fuck it let me open. I do not too cute I try and see where I go. Im not feeling it shes not either and shes ugly.

Next set, my wing and I keep walking around and think DAMN SO MANY DUDES!!! So then we were about to leave then I saw this tall brunette nerdy chic but cute with dimples (my type, I LOVE dimples). BAM I open her with the same shit.

I notice it hook, smiles starts giving me IOIs. I hold her hand for a bit to test to see how much shes into me or not. She holds it a bit. Then her sister (the cock block) girl codes her to see if shes okay. I immediately introduce myself to her. She gives me the strongest bitch shield ever. Im like fuck let me see if I can disarm this chic. Her sister was super hot too. I rather take her but I'm not complaining.

So I as I introduce myself to her she tells me, to watch out because she already cockblocked like 4 guys away from her. I suddenly go into a random tanget saying something along the lines of: "Wow I really respect that you look out for your sister. Thats awesome (hi-5ing her) because most people are not family oriented and I am a family oriented type. (I go into a mini cold read idk if its really a cold read) I sense that you guys have a strong family bond. I really like that about you sis, repect"

Shes like WOW okay well if she needs a drink dont buy her one she will buy her own she tells me -

So then after that I immidately kino hold her hand etc on and off to test where I am at. I qualify her, I ask such questions like what I noticed on match.com. I ask her if she is adventurous, can she cook, what are her passions, then I ask if shes a good kisser (I point to my cheek to for her to kiss me and she dosent, so I think I need more comfort) I ask if shes a good dancer (great tactic I use to isolate) so then I didnt wait for the answer. I immeidately take her hand and go up to her sister to ask her if its okay to dance with her and we will be right there (I point like 10 ft away) she starts to like me more and is like WOW you're so respectful, she starts to be my wing woman and tells me to get her number and tells her sister that Im a keeper LOL!!!

So I pull her to the dance floor. I start to dance with her a bit and she tells me that shes shy (how cute). So I hold her hand again and bring her back to the same spot. I try to land a day 2 with her for sushi. I tell her we should get sushi and she having resistance. Idk why? shes like I cant blah blah blah. So I ignore it cut to the next topic. Then I ask her whats the best way. Again cockblock sister I won over check up on us. Shes with some dude and I intro myself to him.

So shes like I should go. I tell her I'm not letting her to solo to find her sister, I say Im going to protect you from those guys (LOL). So I find her sister again. I tell her here I am dropping your sister off to you shes safe and okay. Again her sister (cockblock) was like WOW so respectful you guys need to go out etc blah blah blah. At this point Im like OH SHIT!!!

So I find my friends and bounce to another bar.

So we go to another dead ass bar. We walk in I see a table of like 6 chics all sitting and 3 girls standing. So I walk around to see another girl. Bar is so empty no other cute girls who I think is really cute. So my friend is there we are chatting and im like fuck this shit im gonna open those chics and go direct.

So usual opener. I qualify with can you cook. Shes like I'm married. If I wasn't then I would tell you everything that I cook. So I tell her well at least I know now. Its better to know than not know at all if I didnt approach her. Which is true. So I eject and say F that since I blew it all out.

So that was it for the night. But I am really liking this direct game. Its like from the book Mastery by George Leonard - A great book I read while I was at work. It says enjoy the process of learning and I am. It tells you to surrender meaning to surrender your ego and let it go. If you get blown out fuck it and keep going.

As far as venues go, back when I was sarging in MI, I didn't hit up Novi that much so I can't give you a reliable opinion on that.

Club Necto (Ann Arbor) - Pretty good venue, cheap/no cover with plenty of sets to open, its a little trashy, but that's Michigan for ya.

Tonic - Better than Tiki bobs for sarging, but this place is even trashier than necto

Tiki Bobs - Just painfully loud and the dance floor is just wayyy too big


You might want to hit up Windsor, canadian chicks are hotter IMO and the club scene is pretty kickin over there, I was a fan of Sgt. Peppers & Voodoo

I used to go to all those bars in Ann Arbor back in the day. Nectos and Studio 4. I usually see that guy with the long hair there all the time sarging lol. You probably know him. Dude Ponitac is all trash but Windsor does sound good. I used there but my friends and I, our goal is to pull so we might get hotels in downtown windsor since you can get a cheap room. I also go the enhanced ID where I just show my ID and not my passport saving me to worry about losing my passport.

I just go to Royal Oak since its close to my house and many bars to bounce to that are free.

So anyway last night....

I swear to god, it must of been bf/married night for the most part.

First night I see a super tall chic, I go in direct we chat. I start to hold their hands after I shake their hands to see if she is single and for me to see if she is into me and holds back (I do this for all of my sets). If they don't have a drink in their hand then I grab the other one so the know what my intentions are. If the interaction is good I will just keep my hands with hers and just chat while playing with her hand. Maybe lock each others hand with hand (fingers over each others) to see if she complies.

So anyway I do that I start to qualify her then she adds I have a bf - Damn it! So then I chat it up and I'm like shit well whatever I might as well ask her what she thought of the approach and to comment on it. She said it was good and flattering lol. When chics do that I might as well get their opinion on my approach.

So then I move into the adjacent set where my wing was working the set talking two random people. What he does is find out which chic is taken etc and who they know. He was talking to two coulpes who have been together for a while. So I semi pull him to the side and ask him who are those 2 chics behind us and why he didnt open. I asked him you wanna open? He's like go for it.

So then I open the 2 set. I find out we have things in common. One was a PA and one was a Dr. So I go for the Dr. not that shes a Dr. but she was the cuter one. Before that they ask me what I did, told them I was a nurse etc. So then BAM I go in direct with the Dr. My friend turns to me and tells me "Hey you know RACHEL is on her way" (Rachel is our code word for Ring aka married lol, we add shit like "I think Rachel was just here" or just something with Rachel in the sentence to notify the PUA that she is married)

So I look at her hand Im like WTF there is no fucking ring on there. Then I do more qualifications while I hold her hand. Then she drops her husband. LMAO fuck my wing was right, I didnt know that he was working the 2 couples to see who is single and taken after we left the bar. So whatever that was our warm up.

We go into the next venue Mr B's...

I dont see any sets, mostly couples whatever. I see one chic just sitting there. She works there at Mr. Bs. So I go direct and open her. Did a bunch of hand holding again. I spinned her around while I was at it haha. Same ol # closes since she has to work.

So I regroup with my wing. I told him I want to open that 4 set because the chic in the white is cute. So hes like GO! I go but this time I went Indirect - Yes I know it had to be direct but I did not know if they were with the guys playing pool by the wall. So I went back to routine mode and then I saw my target had a ring and some other ones did too. The ones that didnt were not cute at all lol.

So we bounce to the next venue Commune...

Once we walked in I saw a table of 4 chics having dinner/drinks for some reason they all turned heads to see who was walking in the door. I saw the cutest one and I went in direct. Talked again then her friends at the same time said that she had a bf. Whatever I go downstairs into the club.

I walk in to find my friends some chics who messaged me to meet them at the club. So I say HI. We chat then I go and find chics to open. Did the same routine stack BAM she has a BF. Shit walk out. Next set I go in it was a 4 set with my wing in it. 2 chics and 1 dude (not including my wing). So I do the cave man style sorta (Idk if this is considered cavemanning). One of the girls was focused on listening to my wing. So then I grab her hand and pull her away from the set and do the same thing. BAM bf fuck!

So then same chic walks in. I do the same BAM bf! fuck! I leave then. I see a 2 set. I see her but I didnt approach but I grab her hand and pull her towards me again. I do same direct opener hand holding etc. BAM shes like my BF is right there. (AKA dont act stupid) so I play it cool like nice to meet you. I go to my wings and Im like FUCK its BF/MARRIED night oomgggg.

So we bounce to the next venue Otooles...

2 set I see 2 orbiters with a blonde super cute and her friend. You can totally tell. The blonde looks directly at me, I shouldve pulled and opened her and pulled her out of her seat lol but I got scared. Not because shes blonde but you never know there are some crazy mo fos out there that might want to fight. I just have that thought in the back of my head maybe because of where I used to party with the whole asian crowd. One guy gets jealous and fights with you in the parking lot for hitting on his girl. So I play it cautious. My friend tells me go! So I go and see what happens shes been hit on so many times. I went in direct didnt go so well.

Next set I open this cute girl it was going well but then my wing was like yo we are bouncing some chics to the next venue. So I was like ahhhhh fuckkk I gotta go! I think it wouldve went well. Whatever its practice.

So the night is ending. I go back to the same bar Mr B's and open some chics but some were just like thank you blah blah blah and walk away. I have no idea how I kept getting all the ones with a boyfriend or married lol. Fuck it practice makes perfect baby!

So I am doing a few in one since I have been coming home late and tired and going straight to bed.

Night 5 I just opened one set.

I realized once you go in direct and it is a 3 set the other 2 leave their friend. A free isolation lol I don't get it? I think I saw a youtube video with APB saying that they are like us the girls don't cockblock other girls etc unless they have a bf. I noticed that. I go in direct they leave her but in proximity for 5 mins then come back.

Night 6

I went to this 18+ club. I swear to god it is weird gaming 18 yr old chics. Its totally different. I did about like 6-7 direct openers. I do not know exactly how many. I don't count anymore. I noticed that I did the direct game on the dance floor which I wrote a post about and it seems pretty good. At times I did get cockblocked by some of their friends.

What I really did not get was there was this set that hooked really well. Never told me she had a bf and was holding my hand back with a good squeeze etc. and we did have a lot in common. Then when I came back around she was chatting with her friend. Her friend was the one who told me that she had a BF not her.

Then another chic. Went in direct I usually ask questions to qualify her once I extracted her to the dance floor she was like "Just to let you know I have a bf"

Day 7.

Keyword DAY: My friend and I went to the mall on a Friday night. WTF I swear it was a bunch of high school students. Not many to sarge. Now that I look back at it. I used to hang out at the mall too on a friday night and "sarge". I did about 3 direct openers during the day. I did it to cute girls who I legitimately though they were cute. Its not bad. I got that down so now I can do some day game direct.

Night time

Most interesting night lol. So I was at the bar my wing gets a call these 2 wierdos one is creepy and the other is creepy and a FOB Indian guy who has no convo skills. All my friend does is call them so they can go approach.

So I was at the bar and I see these 2 chics giving me AIs (approach invitation)... One was this brunette and one was this blonde both were cute but I went for the blonde.

I open with direct it goes well. My wing comes in then the 2 creepy guys come in and just sit there OMG! I get pissed in my head like WTF these creepy bitches are lowering my value. I can tell by looking at her friends that they are getting wierded out. They ask me if they know me. I shouldve said NO but they acted like they did. Whatever so I keep plowing and gaming. Its going pretty well. I noticed that the brunette was giving me more IOIs. I was thinking F that I go for the best aka the blonde.

What I realized in this set that once I go in direct with I cant go for the other friend because the blonde was drunk as hell and was not really chatting. So then I could have went for the brunette.

Maybe next time I will try a combo. Go indirect with an opener then go in direct with my target after getting a feel of who I should choose. IDK? But this is the direct game challenge isn't it?

So then I have been doing direct all night I did about 10 or so that night I don't remember.

I go to another bar. This time with out the wierdos we ditch them bc I told my wing WTF they are fucking up my game. Just because I open a set they do not follow and just sit there. If my wing opens a set I just keep walking and look for a set to open. If I dont see anything I come into his set a few minutes later and ask for "Sarah". Then he introduces me.

So I saw this girl giving me crazy AIs... I come in and go in direct with her. I shake her hands and joke a bit on how her hands are a bit sweaty and if she is nervous. She was like "WOW you came on a bit strong" so then I go on. It was a 3 seated set. Before I came in I was like where can I sit. I find a spot right next to her. One girl was getting hit on by some Inidan guy non fob though but short chodey. My wing comes in and opens her hot friend. He over negs her and she gets pissed. She was already giving him IOIs so no more negging. He wasnt calibrated for it. After that she was like WTF omg he said this and that and asked me if that was my friend. So I sense that I am losing the set but I keep plowing.

So the Indian guy tells me "That a really good pickup line you said to her". I heard him but then I ignored it and kept plowing. (Keep in mind it was a 3 set seated) so I was sitting with with the girl and the Indian guy was on the other side standing. I heard him for the first time when he said that.

I immediately thought this fag needs to be amogged. So this time he says it even louder the second time. "That was a really good pick up line, (motions his hand as a piece of paper) I should write that down. IMMEDIATELY I got pissed. I knew I was losing the set since my wing pissed off the girl. Within 273263 milliseconds. I thought this asshole needs to be amogged and I need to practice this anyway. So I thought of JTs blitz series of questions I saw somewhere. I think it was on 2007 PUA summit

I immediately started asking him questions after questions really fast. LMAO!!!

I was like: wheres your pad of paper?, why don't you write it on your hand?, do you need a pen?, where you from?, where are your friends?, who did you come here with?, did you drive?, did you take a cab?, did you bike here?, whats your name

hahaha so he was answering all of them. LOL!! he was like no I can remember it, my pad of paper is at home, I came here by myself, I drove, I do not drink so I drive, I have a car etc LOLOL when he said dont worry about his name he was getting frustrated lmaoo!!! Wow that technique is awesome. If we were standing I would of done a back turn on him and immediately stole his set and brought her into mine while he was talking to her. I was thinking fuck it I lost this set why not blow it. So I can sense the girl I opened was rolling her eyes so I ejected and said nice to meet you. I was PISSED after that set then I calmed down haha.

I look back and I could have said "yeah its good you just need to have balls now" LOL

Things I have learned that night: How to AMOG with blitz type questions. Every time I drive back home I ask myself "What did I learn tonight"

Also I need some direct game advice. Once I go in direct I start to qualify some girls ask me "why are you asking so many questions" maybe next time I need to be like... "Let's play the question game Ill ask you a question and you ask me one, Ill go first. Since this is the way I like to get to know you by"

IDK? I noticed once I go in direct IDK what to say? I stack with qualification questions. Maybe I need to read qualification and maybe a DHV to throw in. Anyone got any ideas for me to throw in?
