Thinking about doing a Sarge-A-Thon?

Before Zar and I did our 60 days straight, we were scouting out spots for Sunday and Monday. We had 5 of the weeknights locked with pretty good crowds and decent ratios. Once we found our 2 off nights, we went to town.

It Started on a Tuesday in Huntington Beach. Originally we were just gonna shoot through the weekend. But once the weekend hit, we said, "F*CK IT! Lets do a week!" So we did. Then we rolled into another week, then people said to do a month and so on. I think we got to day 49 and Zar was about to call it quits since we did our 30 and extended it. Status was there this night. LOL! (Where you been at fucker?!) I told the Almighty Zar we only had a lil over a week and that our 60 days lands on a Friday! Took a little convincing, but not much.

Can't threaten Zar with a good time, right? We shook on it and BAM! Finished our 60 days with a huge celebration at one of our favorite local bars. Security knew what was up, the locals were all in on it and I heard some of the other staff was told about what we were up to. It was a fun night.

Back to biz...

The term Sarge-A-Thon was invented by J The Ripper after he did his nine days straight with Vince "Hollywood" Kelvin back in 07'. I believe he was only surviving on soda, candy and a bag of chips from time to time. Something crazy.

After that 9 crazy nights in a row with no less than 6 hours in field EVERY night it has become a CC tradition to do anywhere from a week to two weeks straight of non-stop sarging.

Reason being is that if you really wanna get good, and get good fast a Sarge-A-Thon is the way to go. Plus you have fellow CC forum and crew members to go along and help you.

I'ma break down how a week should end up for you...

1-2 nights - you're getting warmed up, getting used to opening non-stop and running your routine.

2-3 nights - you're finally in tune with how you're running your sets and responding well to every type of response you're getting.

4-5 nights - you can run your routine smoothly and calmly and know when and where to cut the thread or keep it going.

5-7 nights - you've finally taken it in and can execute your routine without even thinking twice. You're locking in, Kinoing like a beast, merging sets, or whatever it is that you're working on at the time. It's just BAM BAM BAM!

After a solid week of sarging and giving yourself exercises/tests you're going to easily take a month off of your learning curve. Depending on how hard you push yourself.

For me after the first week, I was doing fine with my routine while I was giving myself mini goals for each night. We would have our own personal goals we'd be working on and then we'd also set some for winging.

If you do end up on a lil Sarge-A-Thon, make sure you find a wing that you vibe well with. Trying to force stuff on a wing is never good. Solo's cool too, but if you have a wing it's gonna make it just that much more fun and you'll be pushing one another.

*Meet up beforehand and talk strategy. Talk with each other on what you're working on that night and how you two are gonna wing together. COMMUNICATION IS KEY with your wing. If you don't have that, then you're not gonna pull some crazy shit off.*

If you're in Orange County, Ca. hit me up and lets do some damage in field, lately we've all been doing the Hollywood thing since Ripper promotes and has CC members demoing for people from the forum. We've been having a rock solid crowd since Zar and I broke the attendance record with over 30+ heads! Now it's the norm.

When and if you do decide to go on a sarging binge, write out your FR's even if it was a slow night to keep track of what and where you did your stuff. It will help you out in the long run and you'll get tons of feedback from us crazy fuckers here on the board.

Have a good one...

Time in the field is always a good thing. Good luck out there!
