FR: SF Alumni Outing 8/26/11

I just got back from hanging out with Benosaur, Ozmonger, and a couple other alumni. I left a little early because of work in the morning. The boys are still there and I wish I could still hang with 'em. Anyways, thought I share my experiences tonight.

I was still pretty tired from the Seattle bootcamp. I went right back to work at my other job as soon as I got back and I haven't fully recovered yet. lol. So tonight was just going to be a chill night. Hang out with friends, fuck around, and open whatever.

1st set:

I'm hanging out with an alumni and walking around when I see a 3-set. My alumni friend had been out of practice for awhile and said that he wanted to open this set. He did. I would follow shortly.

A (Attract, Attitude, Approach)

I kino turn the two girls talking among each other while alumni was talking with the other girl. I introduce myself and say hello. Right away I get a cold vibe from each of the girls. Whatever. I try to plow through.

B (Buying Temperature, Banter, Being in the Moment)

I try for a BT spike on the taller girl. I tell her to give me her hands. She didn't comply. I smile and turn to her friend. I tell her to put out her hands and tell her, "You're friend doesn't know what she's missing out." She complies and gives me her hands. I do the cow handshake. They both laugh. I turn to the other girl and get her to comply with a BT spike but she became very cold again. I try to stay in set for as long as possible trying to plow but it was going nowhere and I knew this.

Benosaur and Ozmonger walk past and I stop them. I introduce them to the ladies and mention that it's Benosaur's birthday. Meh, no luck for me. Thought Benosaur and Ozmonger might have better luck. They stay in set and I walk around.

2nd set:

A tall blonde girl, kinda tipsy, pushes her body on me (I think she was stumbling, lol). She appologizes for "pushing" me.

A (Attract, Attitude, Approach) and B (Banter, Buying Temperature, Being in the Moment)

I reply to her, "Yeah you totally threw your whole body on me! What's wrong with you woman!!!"

She and her friend, another tall blonde, laughs.

We talk for awhile, mostly fluff and me trying to pump up their BT. Conversation was going nowhere, especially since their guy friends were lingering around attempting to AMOG at any moment. Me, Benosaur, and Ozmonger try to stay in set and just chat with the girls. I eventually just turn to chat with the other alumni.

3rd set:

Ozmonger sees two ladies who he wants to approach. I can tell that these ladies were looking to meet some guys tonight. They were standing next to each other, their bodies facing toward the inside of the lounge, drinks in hand tightly to their body. Ozmonger approaches and shortly after, I would come in.

A (Attitude, Attract, Approach) and B (Being in the Moment, Buying Temperature, Banter)

I walk in and introduce myself. I give each of them the gentleman's grace. It pumped up their BT.

I run compliance on my target by telling her to give me her drink so I can set it down on the table and show her something. She complies. I continue to pump up her BT.

We talk more and they get curious about my ethnicity. I tell them to guess and we have fun with that.

I sidestep away from Ozmonger and his target to see if my target will move her body. She does. CT passed.

C (Connection)

We talk more and I go into a passions DHV story. My target seems to be interested.

We start getting to know each other more by telling something about ourselves. I find out she is in the hospitality industry like me.

At this point I'm thinking of places to take her and sit down but I also realize that I REALLY do have to leave soon. Ugh, having work early in the morning on a Saturday really sucks. lol.

Anyways, Ozmonger gets the number from his girl and stays in set. Meanwhile, I talk with her more then go for the number. She puts her number in my phone as I continue talking to her. I call her phone and save it as something funny. She and her friend laugh hard. I stay and talk for a little more.

Soon after that, I give them both a hug and leave.

I really wished I could've stayed and possibly sat her down to make it more solid. Oh well, next time. I got work in 5 hours. I gotta get some rest.

(Oh, wow, she just texted me as I'm typing this now. lol. I guess it was solid enough.)

Day game with Benosaur Sunday!

Oh and I'm currently working on a social circle experiment! I'm currently trying to start a social circle from scratch. It's funny how these girls I number closed months ago contact me and want to hang out. I'm gonna try something and see what happens!

Ugh, it's 1:24am... I really should go to sleep now for real. lol.

Great job with the sets! If I could get a girl to text me automatically, I know that would make my day. From reading your F.R.'s I know I really want to force JT to drag you to Sydney even if I have to smuggle you inside my suitcase. If airport security finds you, you just wave to them and say, "Hello! I'm Lindsay Loham!" (LOL, sorry, I just finished watching Jeff Dunham. Fan of his forever.).

Quick question - I realize I've only been opening single targets. And I'm finding approaching a 2 or 3+ set pretty hard because I don't know how to go in. My approach anxiety comes less from fear of failure than from fear of freezing up or not knowing what to do (i.e. not knowing how to continue) Any suggestions? I love to stick with direct, but what do I do? Kino and open one target?

A: "Hey, I know this is random, but you're really cute and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm ___"

Or both?

B: "Hey, I know this is random, but you girls are really cute and I wanted to introduce myself."

Btw: I'm so copying the cow's handshake. Geezus, where do you guys learn all these BT maneuvers???

To answer your question, I've used both options and both work in night game. The trick with a multiple set is just being able to spread out your attention to the entire group.

Btw, are we talking about day time or night time?

During the day, I will use option A. If I see a 2 or 3 set I will kino open and ONLY go direct on my target while simultaneously talking to the entire group. I think the best way I can describe it over typing this is...

For example, I come in with a warm smile and kino open my target (HB1). I say, "(Look at HB2)Hi there!... (Look at HB3)... Listen, I had to come over and tell your friend here... (Look at HB1)... That she is absolutely beautiful. (Look at HB2) I wanted to say hello. (Look at HB1) Hi, my name is Mike."

It's all about awknowledging everyone in the group and spreading your attention. If it's a 3-set, after a few minutes you are going to put all your attention on your target and just talk to her. The thing is, if her friends see that she is into you (and they can tell without talking to each other), they will leave her alone to talk to you. However, if it's a 2-set, just talk to both of them. The reason why is because then your target's friend wont have anyone to talk to and she will pull her away. You can always instant date both of them if you want. It will build that much more comfort and her friend will see that you're a cool guy.

Oh wow, thanks for the input, Mike! I'll be sure to try it out. My venues have mostly been girls on buses because it's within my comfort zone, but I know that if I don't push myself out of my comfort zone and try something I've never done, I'm never going to improve. I'm going to try the coffee shop next week.

For night game, attending an event called "Mambo Jambo" at Adelaide's top club called Heaven, which normally you can't get in or you have to book weeks ahead. @.@ I'm so lucky to be part of the Flinders medical student society. 15 dollars entrance fee (that's an 85% discount!) to medical students. Yay me! It's a one time thing. I find my approach anxiety a bit higher for night game because it's a bit louder, but let's see if I could work on approach and banter first before doing other stuff, but most of all have fun.
