I just took the Manhattan BC this past weekend and it was fantastic! The BC ended during the afternoon and I decided to go out with two other fellow NYC alums to keep the momentum going. It was Sunday night and drizzling with rain but it did not stop us!

Set of 2 HBs:
Three of us hit up Plunge and met two HBs in front of the entrance. The brunette said "hey you guys are partying on sunday night too!" and BT spiked us by high-fiving me lol. Five of us arrived inside the club and it was absolutely horrendous! There were about 20 people inside total and 75% of which composed of couples. I kickstarted the place by ordering a beer and cheering a mixed set at the bar. We walked around the bar and could not find find a good set to open so came back to the 2 HBs. We sat around a couch, and I teased the blonde chick about being from Connecticut. Having just learned about the ABCDEF structure, I felt like I was in the B phase due to the high energy surrounding our conversation. I tried to go into the C phase by telling her my "childhood dream career" DHV story and then talked about the fashion industry. However, I felt like it was more like banter rather than Connection because I could not find the proper hook to proceed to my other DHV stories. And at this point, all three of us were sitting around the blonde girl (the brunette left temporarily). Feeling like I was not making much progress with the blonde girl, I simply let my two fellow alums take over and went to scout the rest of the club.

The place remained empty and we suggested to the girls that we hit up another venue. They agreed. We waited for 5 min. while they paid their tab and went to the restroom. At this time, I gave up on the blonde and moved in on the brunette. For some reason, it was hard for me to C-phase her as she was in a B-phase mood the entire time and was extremely energetic and flirtatious. However, we started to lose their interest after walking around and only seeing empty bars and clubs and eventually parted ways with them.

Asian girl:
We eventually came back to Plunge, and the place was still very much dead. I tried to open up a couple of available sets but to no avail. At this time, my wing introduced me to this mixed set of two asian girls and one guy. I talked to girl1 and she told me that girl2, her sister, thought I was cute. Knowing that A is already in place, I stayed in B phase for about 3-5 minutes by teasing her and immediately went onto C. I told the "dream career" story, but once it was finished I again felt like I started to banter b/c I could not find the hook to proceed to my other DHV stories. I moved back to B and kinoed her repeatedly every 7 seconds. At this point, I skipped to D phase directly and complimented her on her eyes and hair and went in for the kiss! She turned away but I played it off cool and bantered some more while kinoing her. She actually ASKED FOR MY NUMBER at this point and we played around by entering silly names into each others' phones. After another 5-7 minutes, I went in for the kiss again and got a brief lip kiss before she laughingly turned her head away and said it was a really good try.

At this point I gave up on kissing her and led her back to her sister and the guy (sister's husband), we joked around for a bit and went back to the bar together for some shots and took playful pictures together. The kino was extremely heavy b/w me and the girl but somehow I had a hard time moving beyond kinoing. I gave up at this point since I didn't want to occupy my wing for too long (there were no other sets for them to hit on). She was disappointed that I was leaving and told me to call her the next day.

I called her this afternoon and got voice mails both times. I was slightly surprised since she was genuinely interested the night before. Being new to getting phone # and calling back, I forgot to use the curiosity phone technique ("something amazing last night reminded me of you"). I don't plan on calling her a 3rd time since I think twice is already enough.

Introspection:
what I did right: I'm proud of myself for going out on a rainy Sunday night. I usually have no trouble in the A and B phases since I approach and open confidently with great body language and tonality. I also bring great energy and am very playful. Furthermore, I have very little approach and sexual anxiety, almost to the point that I sometimes go for the kiss too quickly IMHO. I also have no trouble with kinoing as girls are very receptive to me.

areas for improvement: My sticking point at this time is the kiss in D-phase. I attribute this to my weakness in the Connection aspect. I need to devise more DHV stories and further refine the ones that I do have. I also need to find good hook points between the stories so that I may easily proceed from one to the other while sounding natural. I need to find a way to lower my energy from the B phase down to C phase and further lower it to D phase.

As this is my first FR ever, suggestions regarding the FR itself would be highly appreciated too!

kudos man! awesome stuff!

i'm working on my connection phase as well. I'm trying to infuse cold-reading into it to really get that deep connection. Maybe try that?

When you called, did you leave a voicemail message?

William, unfortunately, I did not. I know you guys said it's normal to get voicemail, I guess my brain slipped. Won't make the same mistake again!
