Hey Guys,
I just signed up for Kevin's Toronto bootcamp in November. Since Kevin was doing a 1-on-1 in Toronto last weekend, he was kind enough to invite me out to preview what I was getting myself in to. He obviously couldn't give me a lot of coaching since he was out with a client, but I got to spend 2 nights seeing the magic in real life.
Hopefully, my little story will pump up those who are signed up for future bootcamps, or those who are on the fence about whether they should sign up. I had an AMAZING experience, and learned SO MUCH in just 2 nights. Spoiler Alert: Before the weekend, I had never kissed a girl. During the weekend, I was making out with a blonde!
Background -----------
Just for context, I'd never even kissed a girl before last weekend. I found out about the game 2.5 years ago. I read MM, Mehow, Double your Dating, etc. You name it, I devoured it. At the beginning, I went to clubs 2-3 x per week, but my AA was so bad, that I stopped sarging clubs. I still worked on my skills with friends of friends, but found that I had hit my plateau. If I did get over AA, I could get as far as comfort, and then fail to escalate. I was hoping I could improve on that last weekend.
Night 1 ------- I met up with Kevin and the rest of the entourage, and we went to the club and got bottle service. Kevin tried to push me in to some sets, but my AA was so paralyzing, I barely opened anything. I did get into longer chats with a couple of girls that were brought over to our booth, but nothing too exciting. I did watch in awe as the other guys worked the club, brought groups of gorgeous girls back, and were the coolest people there. These guys were # closing and kiss closing like it was no big deal. Even though I wasn't getting any formal coaching, everyone was super supportive of me, and gave me advice and hints whenever they weren't busy chatting up hot babes.
We met up afterwards and the next day for a debrief of our progress. I found this very useful, as I learned a lot just listening to how everyone's sets went, what they did well, and what they needed to improve on.
Night 2 ------- I was embarrassed by how my AA had crippled me. Watching Kevin and his crew work was so inspiring to me, I promised myself I'd do better tonight. We roll into this sick Gossip Girl-like club. I'm not too familiar with big city clubbing, so a fountain in a club just blows my mind! I decide I should probably drink a bit more to loosen up. Admittedly, I went a little overboard, but the upside was that I started opening sets like crazy. Hopefully, I'll one day be this disinhibited without having to take performance enhancers, haha.
One of the guys suggested I open all sets with direct, and I do that all night. Some sets fail miserably, some sets hooked OK, and some hooked like CRAZY. I way more high energy than the previous night, and it showed in the responses. By the end of the night, I opened this blonde girl with the sum of all the advice and tips I had accumulated throughout the weekend. The next thing I know, I have her isolated on the couch of our booth! I'm running some comfort material on her, and then I get this feeling that I can go for the kiss close... I've never had that feeling before, but I had been watching the other guys pull it off with ease, so hopefully I'm starting to calibrate. I pull the trigger, and soon after we're making out! Just thinking about it now, I have the biggest shit-eating grin. I never imagined that a goofy asian kid who has never kissed a girl before could go for a makeout in a club! Let alone with a blonde! Unfortunately, I made the fatal mistake of ignoring her friend, and as far as I can tell, the friend freaked out while we were sucking face and ensured my cock was effectively blocked.
After that, I tried opening more sets, but nothing as exciting happened.
Summary -------- So in conclusion, even without formal coaching, I felt like I learned as much in 2 nights from these guys as I learned in 2 years of just reading about the Game. When I first met Kevin and company, I felt like an outsider. But they were super welcoming and supportive. My heart races when I think of how much I will improve with actual training at my official bootcamp in November. Until then, seeing Kevin and his crew in action has inspired me to get back into it. I'm planning on going out 3 nights this week, and continue that for as long as my schedule permits.
And to those who are still hesitant to sign up for a bootcamp, I feel like it was one of the best moves of my life. Honestly, there is only so much you can do without seeing it in the field, being taught by a master, and practicing it under his/her guidance. As an analogy, you can't just read a textbook on how to perform heart surgery, and then the next day waltz into an OR and totally own it. You need to observe and train under a skilled surgeon first. Pickup is the same way!
Thanks to Kevin and the rest of the guys who I met in Toronto last weekend! I had a priceless experience, and I can't wait until November.
