I did the Sydney boot camp last weekend with J.T and Gareth. There were 8 students in total and we were all eager to learn from the two big guns! Before the boot camp, I have read the ABC structure and practiced lowering my AA with ABC alumni, dangar.

Day 1

On the first day, we covered the A & B phase, and we were given a few canned, and opinion openers to choose from, but I decided to rely on my natural wedding opener. I didn’t realise that I have been kino turning the wrong way until J.T demonstrated it and got us to go through the drills. As the lecture was 4 hours long, I was worried I might fall asleep. Back at uni, I couldn’t even handle 2 hours of lecture! However, J.T and Gareth made it really interesting and interactive which kept mine senses awake.

Venue 1: The Argyle

After we had our dinner, J.T opened a 3 seating set and brought them back to our table. One of the drunk adhd girls sat next to me, so I kino her and said, “you seem to be very cheerful, is this where the fun is?” She lit up and became super flirty, she kino me with her thighs, and placed her hand on my chest. After a few more BT spikes and chat, we all departed as it was time for us to work on A and B.

The aim tonight was to open 10 sets and just practice talking. I was nervous initially, so I went to get a glass of water. While I was waiting in line, I kino turn and opened a blonde girl, “how long have you been waiting here for? ......since, we are waiting lets talk to pass the time”. She was quite receptive, but left after getting her drinks.

I opened several more sets with the kick start opener to warm myself up.

Walked outside and spotted 2 seating asian set, I approached them with my wedding opener. They just came back from America, so I went straight into my DHV travel stories. A student was standing nearby and I pulled him into my set to help me occupy one of the girls. Spent a quite a while in this set, but then my girl wanted to go to the toilet. She said, “they’ll be back, wait for us here.” As I didn’t want to waste time standing around, I went to open sets inside. When we left the venue I bumped into
the 2 asians again, they asked, “where were you, you were suppose to wait for us”. Told them I have to go another bar. By the time I walked out, I realised I should have number closed her. (Doh!).

Venue 2: Hugo

Don’t know why, but I started to feel nervous as I walked into this bar. However, when J.T signalled me to open 3 standing sets, I felt as if I was being hypnotized by his commands and I just approached without thinking of what to say.

I was outside with another student, 2 french set came standing near us. We cheer them, and approached with our indirect openers. Kind of mini isolated her, BT spiked and went into my DHV travel stories. While my wing took his girl to the bar, I told her we should go to the dance floor. Elephant walk and she complied, but she didn’t like the music. So, we returned to the balcony where I taught her Salsa moves. As I saw a free couch, I suggested we go seat down as my feet were hurting. After some comfort I went in for the kiss, but only got the cheeks. So I tried to continue with more comfort. Then, she suddenly decided to go back to her friend and I ejected.

At the end of the night, we all had a debriefing on how we performed.
The critique was quite helpful, it made me realise I was being aggressive, but I didn’t do enough disqualify.

Day 2

Today was C & D and my mind was overloaded with information by this point. We went over different types of compliance test: general and sexual. There are so many different things that can constitute as compliance tests. We did drills on the Silencer which is very good for loud venues. Gareth, the story crafting master turned my mediocre DHV story into something more interesting than what really is.

Venue: Ivy

Maybe it was due to the dizzying lights, or the sheer number of AMOGS.
This was the toughest night, and my AA went to 8/10 at the beginning.
Instead of loitering around, I decided to suck it up and just did the kick start opener on a few sets. This warmed me up and got me into the talkative mode again.

Every set I opened directly fizzled out very quickly, so I went to our VIP table to chill for a bit. On the way there, I bumped into James Marshall, he is a very cool and relax guy. Peter (Sweater) was also here tonight. J.T suggested we should just open sets walking by our couch. This was great, I found approaching girls in the VIP booth easier compared to downstairs.

Engaged 1 set whom a student extracted to our couch. She was very easy to talk to, after some banter and BT spike. We shared some interesting things that we like to do.
Told her I enjoy the occasional social dancing, pulled her to an empty space and Salsa her. When we returned back on to the couch, I went into comfort and found out she is married. How did I miss that big shiny ring? She later ejected.

I opened a 2 seating set, they were quiet receptive. However, when I saw my target’s friend HB5 getting bored, I decided to engage her a bit more. What a big mistake, I ended up talking to HB5 for too long and another student opened my target. I basically took the grenade for him, but that’s fair. Since, I took his target a few minutes ago, we are even now. =)

Later, J.T told me to open HBpetite by sitting down and turning the chair to face her head on. She was very receptive as she would always lean in to talk while placing her hands on my knees. I thought we were leaving, so I quickly number closed her. Although, I did feel there wasn’t enough comfort and connect, but I just did it for the sake of practicing.

Back at the hotel, we had our debriefing. Even though I had a couple of blowouts, it didn’t phase me. Unlike, pre-boot camp I was still able to keep my level of energy and talkative mind set through out the night.

Day 3

Since, I choose to learn IGame with Gareth, I didn’t get enough sleep as it started at 12pm. Nevertheless, IGame is quite useful in anyone’s arsenal. I have always been sceptical about sexting, but the examples he showed us made a lot of sense, and it follow similarly to the ABC structure. Now, I know when and how to call or text for meet ups.

By 4pm, we discussed E & D. J.T covered extraction methods, logistics and fashion. The most intriguing topic of today’s lecture is AMOG and mixed sets. I still have yet to open a mix set which something I need to work on.

At the end of my 8 hour lecture, I was feeling quite exhausted. Nonetheless, I scold down a can of black V and soldier on.

Venue: Hugo

Outside the bar, I was feeling nervous again and Gareth could sense it too. So, upon entering, I quickly kick started some sets to warm up.

2 seated set, I opened them indirectly by kneeling down to their eye level.
We banter and BT spiked, I said, “….I am celebrating my friend’s birthday tonight, come by to say hi…” They turn it down and excused themselves to smoke.

Opened a few more sets with Isaac (ABC Alumni), but a lot of them fizzled out.

J.T announced, tall blonde at the bar, go. Without even knowing what to say, I approached and kino turn her.
Me: “Hi, my name is Minh, and what’s your name?”
Her: “I am…….”
Me: “I have to say, you are fucking cute”
Her: “Thank you” (she back turned me)

I kino turn her one more time.
Me: “What drink is that?”
Her: “it’s a martini”
I brain farted and she told her friend she wanted to smoke outside. There was a guy chatting to her friend and he didn’t look too happy. Think I ruined his set….Lol.

After getting a glass of water, I walked outside and found 2 sets. Kino turned HBSkater.

Me: “Hi, my name is Minh, and what’s your name?”
HBSkater: “Hi, I am HBSkater”
Me: turned to her friend and asked for her name
HBDRUNK: “Hi, I am HBDRUNK”
Me: “What are you celebrating tonight?”
HBDRUNK: “nothing much, just drinking”
Me: “You look quite cheerful, are you drunk?”
HBDRUNK: “I have been drinking since 4pm”
Me: “How many have you had?”
HBDRUNK: “I went through 2 bottles of bourbon”
Me: “OMG!....you must be the naughty one” *kino*
Me: “is that the craziest thing you have ever done?”
HBDRUNK: “I filmed HBSkater having sex on the roof of The Gaff nightclub!”

At this point, alarm bells in my head were telling me to push this set as far a possible.

Me: “That’s outrageous! She looks so innocent though”
Me: “and what were you doing behind the camera?”
HBDRUNK: “I had a boyfriend, but we broke up 4 months ago”
Me: “In that case, welcome to single life, high 5!”

Me: “Well you girls look friendly enough, I am celebrating Gareth’s birthday tonight. You should come by to say hi.”
HBDRUNK: “Ok, I need to get a drink first.”

We walked towards the couch at the end of the bar. As we were walking, I spotted J.T leaning against a table, and HBDRUNK came to check out his cigarette. I didn’t see what J.T did, but he must have signalled her somehow. He always seems to find the most inconspicuous place to watch our performance.

As I stood there, I was spellbound by J.T’s smooth alpha male aurora.

J.T suggested they should wish Gareth happy birthday.
“You coming?”
HBDRUNK & HBSkater: “Ok.”

He led HBDRUNK by hooking her hands. That was something I wasn’t doing when walking the girls, so I hooked hands with HBSkater as well. (Thanks J.T for showing me how to lead and walk a girl graciously back to our couch).

J.T reminded me to sit down first and tell the girl to follow.

While the other student occupied HBDRUNK, I started in comfort and connect with HBSkater.

Wrapped my arms around her.

Me: “Tell me something about yourself.”
HBSkater: “blah….blah…blah”
Me: I.A.B.T and DHV stories

B.T spike follow by Ralph Loren's photo routine.
B.T spike and did the one handed archangel. Placed her hand on my thigh, she didn’t let go. So, time to move into D.

Me: “Tell me what your first kiss was like?”
HBSkater: “blah…blah…blah”
Me: Whispered into her ear in a controlled tonality, “Do you like kisses on the neck, like this” (kiss her neck)
Me : “Or do you like nibbling on the ear, like this” (nibble her ear)
Me: “How about kisses on the lips, like this……let’s find out”

Moved in and we started making out. While making out a few more times, I slowly moved my hand from knees to her inner thigh.

Me: “Is that a piercing on your chin?”
Me: “Where else do you have piercing”
HBSkater: “2 other places, pointing at her chest”
Me: “right here?” (I caressed across her chest)

Back to making out, this time I fondled her breasts.

I think I made the mistake of hanging in D for too long. Should have gone into E before HBDRUNK came back.

When HBDRUNK returned, HBSkater’s anti-slut shield went up and became cold towards me. After seeing the other students off, Gareth came back to keep me company and to occupy HBDRUNK. Have to say, Gareth is an awesome wing,

Funnily, when Gareth took HBDRUNK away, HBSkater became talkative to me again.
HBSkater: “I am thirsty”
I normally don’t buy drinks for girls, but J.T stated, if she passes sexual escalation then you should buy her a drink. Otherwise, you will just be a cheap-arse.

Sat back onto the couch, I placed her legs across my thighs, we are in an embrace now.

Me: “What are you doing later?”
HBSkater: “I am sleeping over at HBDRUNK place, but she has the keys”
Me: “You can crash at my place, but no funny business though”
(I couldn’t think of a better Extraction excuse, because I didn’t expect to reach this far tonight).

HBSkater: “I recently came out of the hospital and I am still on anti-biotic.”
She was sick & feeling tired at this point.

Gareth and HBDRUNK returned.
HBSkater asked HBDRUNK to take her home, but HBDRUNK wanted to stay with Gareth. (HBDRUNK was hoping to go home with Gareth).

Now, HBDRUNK and HBSkater is discussing about logistics.
Gareth signalled me to lean back and relax. Eventually, the girls left.

Leason Learnt:
- Lean back and don't try to claw the girl back
- The man must always be leading the interaction
- Need a better Extract excuse
- BT spike when she goes cold

Final Thoughts

For a long time, I was worried PUA boot camps would be like a cult, where everyone sang Kumbaya while waving a candle in the air. This actually happened at an M-Way Seminar!

In fact, this boot camp changed my outlook on life. It gave me a new perspective on how things work in bars and nightclubs. The ABC structure really resonates with me, as it allows me to demonstrate my personality without coming off as fake.

Both instructors are not just teachers, they really do care about their students.
J.T being the drill sergeant would push students into sets if they stand around like wallflowers. This kind of pressure helped me forget about the outcome and just open.
He sometimes would open sets to invite students. Even though Gareth didn’t have to, he stayed back to support me on the last night. He gave up a SNL just to keep me company! Truly a scholar of a gentleman.

After about 2 years of procrastinating, I must say this boot camp has drastically improved my game. For future students, if you’re still seating on the fence, just do it!

I know my journey doesn’t end here, and the road ahead will be turbulent. However, nothing rewarding comes in life without hardships.

To my fellow ABC alumni, I look forward to sarging with you guys.

Sounds like a fun bootcamp! Yeah I'm surprised that I managed to pay attention during the lesson portion too. Good job on that kiss close. Not everyone can do that on the first bootcamp. I've noticed that every weekend is Gareth's birthday lol. All I can say is get a wingman, join a lair, and keep going at it.
