The Las Vegas bootcamp was actually my 2nd time around. To be perfectly honest, the thing that "sold" me was the price of the BC. With a 25% alumni discount and $200 July 4th Holiday discount, the frugal Asian man within me could not turn down such an offer... That and I needed an excuse to go to Vegas.

For me, I had been spending the last 5 months hitting the books really hard so I knew I was going to be a little rusty going out again and I wanted to take a refresher. Seeing everything the 2nd time around made me understand the ABCs of Attraction on a completely new level. During my 1st BC, I was constantly awestruck by how my Asian instructors (or Asians in general) would pick up white girls. During my 2nd BC, everything started to slow down and I noticed that my social awareness had grown to a much higher level. I became a lot more systematic in my approaches and was now actively thinking about the ABCDEF stages instead of hoping for a good outcome. I still have my sticking points (sexual anxiety), but now I know how and what to do in order to overcome it. I really feel like I am on the cusp of making a major breakthrough. I even met an Asian natural for the first time, ABCs intern Sonic, who was really cool to hang out with. Sonic, let me know when your CD comes and out and I'll be one of the first to order it!

In terms of main instructors, Johnny Wolf was great and really down to Earth. He was really friendly and outgoing and seemed to enjoy every conversation that he started. Most importantly, he knows his shit. I noticed a change in the ABCs curriculum to one that almost entirely focused on natural instead of canned lines and routines. It's a good idea, as PUAs should be seeking to improve every aspect of their lives, not just pick-up. Mad props to him because he did all of the lectures by himself which must have been tiring.

1st Day - A and B
Venue: ghostbar
Results: 2 phone-closes, 1 kiss-close
I approached a three-set with my natural opener and it hooked. One of the girls exclaimed that it was a really good pick-up line, which threw me off because it was a real relationship dilemma that my friend was going through. I ejected prematurely, but immediately approached a second set, which was a mixed four set of locals from Vegas. I made a tall blond my target, but she kept on bringing her male friend into the conversation. I couldn't escalate or isolate for the life of me so I moved on. I approached my third set and the girl actually initiated conversation before I could say anything to her. She was in a mixed set of 4 girls (or more?) and 1 guy. After hooking my opener and bantering a little bit, Sonic came in to wing her friends. I got into deep comfort and my old nemesis (sexual anxiety) came roaring back. I could isolating her and bring her to the dance, but could not take it to the next level. Then Johnny Wolf came in with his camera and told the girl to do something along the lines of 'pull his tie and kiss him'. Kissing ensued. I stayed in set with Sonic, as Johnny Wolf and the other students left. At this point, my target's friend dragged her to the bathroom. Unfortunately, I started doubting myself, got ADD, and started dancing with some Asian girl with blond hair who had been checking me out all night. I then got my hand caught in the cookie jar. Sonic, my bad man, I now realize that I could have pulled that set with you. It was the first white girl that I had ever kiss-closed in a club (my only other one was latino). A definite learning point.

2nd Day - C and D
Venue: Club at the Stratosphere
Results: 2 number-closes, 1 e-mail close
The venue was kind of wack, but it was to be expected with 6 guys on a tight budget in Vegas, the money capital of the world. We were able to get a table, but some of the people there were really weird. There was a group of people dressed as nerds, complete with overalls, nerdy glasses with white tape, and bowties who danced like they were having seizures. Anyways, while the venue was difficult, it taught me how to deal with adversity and to the bloom where you are planted. Not every venue is going to be 'on' every night you go out. The best set that I opened was a two-set of teachers from Florida. Using the textbook kino-turn opener and some bantering, I was able to go into comfort and sit down with the girl as one of the other students came in and winged for me. I was in comfort for what seemed like forever. Unfortunately, she was happily married. Her loss.

3rd Day - E and F
Venue: Tryst
Results: 1 number-close, 1 e-mail close
At Tryst, I got to meet ToyMachine, who was an early inspiration to me. I had read about him on the forums, but never met him in person. He's a really cool person and I wish him all the best. Tryst was a really cool club with a waterfall in the background and a stripper pole in the VIP section. My best set was a heavily tattooed brunette Vegas local who had a ridiculously ugly friend. Thank you, fellow BC student gxsr, for talking to that beast as long as you did. As for HBTattoo, I approached her with my natural opener, bantered and BT-spiked, and went into comfort when we sat down. I was in deep comfort, held her hand for like forever, and was trying to build sexual tension, but the set was stagnating. Her ug friend eventually dragged her back to the dance floor. Damn.

The best part was the end of BC feedback where Johnny tells you what areas to improve on. I know now that I need to bite the bullet and work on my Sexual Anxiety. ToyMachine suggested going to a strip club with $20 in my hand and try to spend the entire night without giving it up. Johnny Wolf said that I needed to reap what I sow and have the attitude that I was a pimp. While I know I'm not at the level yet, I'm going to keep working until I reach my goals.

It sucks to be not good with women, but it sucks even more to have no idea what to do around women. The ABCs have already improved my life dramatically after my 1st BC. I can't wait to see what happens after my 2nd!

Jet,

I was at Tryst that nite. Unfortunately, I did not get to meet you or say hi to ToyMachine. Give me ring whenever you are in town. I am more than happy to hang out with my fellow alumni.

Was any of you guys wearing a hat?...I saw an Asian guy with a shaved head and a hat at Tryst that seemed to be doing well opening sets...I think he did well with the tatto girl...was that you!
Thinking back, I think this tattoo brunette wearing spaghetti string top had an ugly friend! :D

If that was you!...shame on you for not closing..ha..ha..you guys look tight on the dance floor. :D

Also, if that was you, you did good early in the evening opening those 2 tall blonde girls. I was going to go in and take the other girl off your hands b/c she had negative body language and killing your set.
