I chose to expand my horizon a bit with Ozzie’s Day Game course even though I had already tried the bootcamp primarily because I know there are huge differences in the dynamics of day vs. night.
Curriculum wise, there wasn’t a substantial amount like the bootcamp had. Some was also mentioned before. So note taking was pretty brief.
Day 1/2 Ozzie and I reviewed proximity, angles of approach and the main differences of day vs. night. Then we went to the Grove (a shopping center in LA) where JT met up with us.
My first approach was a brunette sitting down reading at Barns & Noble. Solid number close and warm up. Funny off topic note – some other obvious community members were going through some serious AA and waiting for me to engage one girl so they could do the same. That guy, however, failed to make it past his opener and didn’t even kneel to eye level.
More openers in the book store. Some walked away. Others had boyfriends. It was clear that day game has a much lower success ratio and isn’t for the sensitive or easily discouraged.
We wandered around more. I approached a beautiful brunette who was very open after a little shit testing. Number close failed because C Phase wasn’t good enough. Storytelling didn’t take place. And I could’ve pushed through the initial rejection, but instead ejected.
A cute Canadian 2 set loved my humor and gave me their number.
A visiting Texan girl loved my direct compliment about her hat.
A 3 set in the furniture store gave me their advice on an opinion opener but then ejected.
I ended the day with a 2 set, one of whom was a fit and busty brunette with European features by the coffee store and wound up giving them my number, but oh well. She was moving to Washington DC in two weeks.
Day 2/2 More curriculum but not much. Primarily we narrowed down sticking points from the previous day and listed solutions for me to focus on. Traffic was a little worse since it was Monday so we made sure to leave sooner. Our destination was the UCLA campus.
My goal, as I told Ozzie, was to approach sets that actually made me uncomfortable due to their attractiveness. I’m going to experience brain farts regardless, and forget routines, but I wanted to challenge my AA to the max.
So with UCLA being such a huge area to cover, on top of all of the stores nearby, the amount of sets per hour were drastically decreased.
I also noticed cell phones and MP3 players were frequent hurdles.
Like the day before, I managed to number close the first girl I spoke with. Unfortunately, she was the only number of the day.
After a few hours of browsing the campus, I didn’t see more than a handful of sets I was interested in. And none made it past B Phase.
For the last hour I chose to have fun.
My first set for goofing off was a girl at Whole Foods. I grabbed a cucumber and some KY Jelly and approached. “It’s my grandma’s birthday and this is what I’ve got so far. What are your thoughts?”. I got my laughs and Ozzie did too.
Ozzie and I were just bullshitting about various topics when I randomly asked him “If you were opening a midget, would you kneel or stand?”
He really began thinking about it. LOL. Speaking various openers aloud to practice.
Then I decided that would be my opener for the rest of the day. I asked all sorts of people. Ozzie even asked a girl who was sitting.
Although none of those sets led to a number close, I am determined to accomplish this with the midget opener.
Overview All in all, I’m satisfied with how things turned out. Day Game poses a challenge is certain aspects, such as time constraints, which forces you to make every word count. In turn, that improves your Night Game.
I have yet to choose my nearest stomping ground for Day Game, but once I do it’ll become a weekly habit just like my Night Game.
Sarging this way thickens one’s skin for rejection.
Ozzie is very efficient with sending you toward set after set. How he hides in the shadows while I’m in a set and still manages to take notes is a mystery, but he does it. He even caught a few video clips of me to show me my posture flaws.
This class was well worth it.
