I attended the March 2010 boot camp in Los Angeles and had a blast. My experience is as follows:

Day one class: JT personally taught me and one other student. Unfortunately, a few other ended up rescheduling. While more students may have been helpful, the individualistic attention was great. The chance to physically practice techniques (e.g. kino turn, proper swaggering, etc.) was very handy since my PUA books are text only and lack pictures. I had trouble with a canned opener, but would learn how to properly use it later.

Night one field: I am NOT a big night club fan. Playhouse was a good nightclub none the less. While I bombed my first kino turn attempt, I managed to learn and get the other attempts right. I still had trouble with my canned opener, but used JT's training to create an impromptu opener. I still needed work, but managed to go from 'not A' to C by the end of the night. My approach anxiety was still high and needed improvement, but I did better that I have done in years.

Day two class: JT started prepping me and Kenny (classmate) for day two field. The two big things: stories and table tactics. While my initial story was rough, I tried another one and redeemed myself with JT. I am not sure if other bootcamps teach this, but JT taught specific tactics for use when you have a night club table. Those would come in handy when we went to My House.

Night two field: This was the most fun out of my experience. It also helped that Wesley Snipes was a visiting VIP. JT brought extra company for a large group. I brought either three or four sets to our table that night. JT helped me tailor some Iraq war stories and I used my Droid smartphone programmed with pictures. Gareth helped me with isolation during my sets as he took one girl so I could game with the other. I should have done better at getting number closers, but did get kiss closers as consolation.

Day three class: JT wrapped up our class with AMOG counters, statistics, and preparation for potential lays. We went on a fashion trip and I saw what I had missed during my time on the east coast and in Iraq. The last club would be Cinespace.

Night three field: It was a good experience, but an unfortunate letdown compared to day two. The club was good, but the clothes I just bought would have been better for day two. While Gareth had to remind me of a few things, I finally got my canned opener to work.

Overall, I learned how to sell myself. In a job interview or networking, tactics, clothes and proper stories help to get the job. In the game of pick-up, tactics, clothes and proper stories help get the girl.

Going to take a day game camp when my schedule will permit. Good times...

Man I just remember when I used to have those PUA text books reading up on the techniques and trying it out. I agree, once you see it SO much better when you see it live in person to when demonstrated but a guru. I also remember JT and I were working on my own canned opener. I really hate them personally but then again I must use them just in case I may need it for a specific situation. I remember JT and I did that the first night and I personally do not like them. I guess it is because it is not my own or since JT helped me with it that I feel like it does not flow freely with mine. Eventually I got it down with my canned opener that night.

I'm not from LA but damn I remember the first time I got to a club and met up with Gareth on Wed at Boardeners for that Moscow night. I was just in shock of how many cute girls there were in LA. Espically that club was mostly emo and hipster chics (I have a spot for those girls in my heart lol). So my first night in LA I had the craziest AA. Then the next day on Thursday it went away after I got over the fact that there are just SO MANY cute girls in LA haha. Dude if you live in LA I am jealous. I am still trying to find jobs out there.

I remember I went to MyHouse as well. I love that club its such a great place. Big venue to open sets. I really like the outdoor part where people are smoking. Best place to chat up some girls. Quieter and easier to talk to girls with. When you described your 3rd night mentioning that it was a let down, maybe you were just tired? I know on the 3rd day of the bootcamp my ass was DRAINED!!! I must say I still kept going though but I know my performance was not as well as it was the first two nights. Even back home in Michigan, last week I went out for 5 nights straight! (Tues-Sat). By the Friday I was so damn tired to open a set.

I even did day game that day and I was so tired to talk to that girl. I was like who cares and let's see what happens. I opened her but I was so mentally drained from sarging that my day game was shit. I try to balance it out. On my days off I do day game and do night game lol. (Animal yes I know) I'm usually on this forum or on facebook at a coffee shop doing day game. I would say it is more of a waiting game for me. Get work done at the coffee shop and wait for girls to come in do work. Once they come in I let them do 30-45mins of work so then they dont say "Oh I really need to get back to work" etc. so when I open them I feel as if they can chat a bit since they got some work done.

Anyway I went off to a tangent there. I must say the 3rd night must of been a killer. I know it was for me and that Sunday night, I had an interview at 9am the following day! Crazy I know. Alright gotta go!
