1 on 1 with Coach Kevin

Damn, talk about a niche: Asians who can’t get laid. You hit a goldmine here, JT. After Googling “asian pua” and stumbling upon JT’s website, I figured I could try to level the playing field between my lil Filipino-self and the Abercrombie-dudes. After all, I constantly hear that the pretty-boys are boring, so having an infectious personality and a smooth style can at least be the equalizer, right?

Other than opening college chicks, I only had 1 true cold approach under my belt. Prior to the bootcamp, I didn’t really know what to expect from Kevin. What I did know was that I wanted to become a better flirt and learn how to sexually escalate properly-- I’ve felt like all my past successes have been due to sheer luck and a little persistence. Due to our close age, I figured I could learn a thing or two from Kevin’s past college experience. I wanted to work on Day/College Game, but was told by Kevin that night game would be the focus for the weekend. A little disappointed, I still told myself it would be a decent investment; I would see what I could learn and just throw away anything I would never use.

In 1on1s, the lecture portions are tailored towards your individual needs. I only walked away with 1.5 pages of written notes, as much of the material were things I felt like I already did subconsciously. To quote Kevin, “a lot of Pickup is just rehashed common sense.” Although we did not see eye-to-eye on some ideas/values, he adapted instantly and I continued to pick his brain. Personally, I valued the drills the most. My approach and body language were fine-tuned, and I learned a little about BLP.

Each night, Kevin feverishly took notes on my game, and even gave me instant feedback after each set on the second and third nights. Having this third eye proved invaluable.

Would I recommend this bootcamp to a friend? Although the bootcamp itself didn’t quite meet all my expectations, this does not detract from Kevin’s ability as a coach. He will work his hardest to make sure you understand a concept and will surely match it with just about any metaphor to make sure you can relate to it. I’d compare a bootcamp to taking a few piano lessons. After a few sessions, you won’t be the next Bach, but you’ll learn some scales, some fundamentals, and at least walk away a few steps ahead of the beginner trying to learn on his own.

Hey man,

I had a blast with you out in D.C. You definitely came into the bootcamp with a decent resume under your belt (especially for your age), You didn't have too much AA throughout the bootcamp and even though the second night was a little rough, the first and last night, you definitely had some good success. The last set especially, SUPER cute girl, textbook # close and hopefully that date ends up going well. Hope to see more field reports here on the board man!
