Hey Tango,

I wouldn't sweat it too much, J.T always says:

Beginners think what to say
Intermediates think how to say it
Experts think "where am I going to F this girl"

That being said, don't overanalyze the actual content itself, what you'll eventually learn in your bootcamp is that the delivery is 5000 times more important than the words. So, drum up an opener that YOU personally find interesting or you can just re-tool one of the canned openers. If you're really worried about the content, try to keep it along the lines of it being relationship oriented, so yes, being about a wedding is absolutely fine.

Hope this helps!

Kevin

Hey Tango,

I'll be your coach in London (Asian Playboy will be your Instructor), so I can very assuredly tell you just to do what the homework says and memorize the opener. Don't worry about what to do after, just memorize it. We are literally there to teach you what to do after, so it's expected that you don't know what to do yet :)

Right now you're doing a bit of over analyzing; just focus on the memorization, don't worry about 'why' you're going to do it. For your natural openers, just think of a situation in your life that you could talk to someone else about: "Do you guys wash out tuna cans and put them in the recycle bin or do you just throw them away because they're so stinky?" or "How often do the people at Starbucks spell your name wrong" are just questions that have come up in my life today. Don't worry about trying to 'seduce' a woman with your openers, these are just things that you can use to start a conversation. Once you've started a conversation, you'll be able to move forward with the structure that we're going to teach you in a month!

We don't teach Day Game during the bootcamp, so you don't have to worry about opening during the day, unless you'd like to take on an extra bit of training while we're over there, which I'm sure we can work out!

Hope this answers your questions,

-Gareth

(p.s. I am SO STOKED to come!)

Hi tango,

I'll be taking the London Bootcamp and pretty excited about it as well.

I'm currently living and working in Dublin but I've been living most of my life in Paris. I guess I'm what you can call a FBC (French Born Chinese). I'm pretty much like you I go to nightclub and pub/bar often but always with a group of friends that I know and we just stick together. I feel like I have so much trouble getting off of the comfort/friend zone. I had a few girlfriends but I believe it was mainly thank to luck.

Regarding the pre-work, I just wrote down two natural openers, which have to be polished I think: one about hobbies and another about relationship. Maybe you can get some inspirations from them :).

@ Other members of the community: Please feel totally free to comment or make any kind of suggestions on the below openers. I would really appreciate it!! Thanks!

TKLT

PS: My first language is French so I apologize for my spelling/grammar mistake(s).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Interest/Hobbies:

Opener: If you had to learn to dance, what type of dance would it be?

Background: I started a new job last January and ever since I’ve been focusing on my work. You know... new job new boss, you have to show him what you worth. But now I think that it’s time for me to get a better work/life balance. So I was thinking about taking some dance class for a start. So far my options are salsa, tango or hip-hop.

Relationship one

Opener: Why do girl have think the worst of their boyfriend when for a single day or weekend he doesn’t text her or call her?

Background: Last year when I was working in Poland, I dated a girl. Once, she went to visit her parent during a weekend and I didn’t text her. The following Monday when you met she were literally mad at me. To make it short she told me that if you don’t feel like texting me everyday it means that you don’t care enough about me. Seriously?

Thanks for you reply! I thought the asian playboy was the host there?
But that doesn't matter cause I've read a lot about you and am thrilled to have you as my coach also.

JT will be your instructor and I will be your coach! It's the best of both worlds!

Two for the price of one.

Fashion (from the FAQ):
http://www.abcsofattraction.com/faq.php#FASHION
What should I wear for the infield portion of the bootcamp?

ANSWER: Come dressed and ready to go out each day during the bootcamp.
HAIR, GLASSES & ODOR CONTROL: If you have contacts, bring them. Don't use gel in your hair. Go with hair products like pomade. Good brands are DiFi, Sculpte and Gatsby. Lowest acceptable brand end would be Axe. Wear body deodorant like Old Spice or Axe. If you have dry lips or dry skin, use chapstick and/or lotion. Wear cologne like Christian Dior Fahrenheit. Bring sugarless gum or other breath control. Use whitening strips like Crest White Strips if you have naturally yellowed teeth.

GENERAL FASHION: If you do NOT have good fashion sense, then follow these general guidelines:

1) Black dress shoes or nice boots, no tennis shoes/hiking boots.
2) Designer jeans are good with no rips or tears. You can get a half way decent pair at H&M and other outlets without breaking the bank.
3) Bring a black/grey/similar blazer if you have one. Go for a fitted look (not too baggy), can be black or grey. Vests will also work.
4) Wear a long sleeved white, blue, or red collared shirt.
5) Avoid, at least on the first day, ALL blacks, greys, plaids, and sweats.
6) A colorful accoutrement is nice but optional (red tie, blue handkerchief, silver jewelry, etc).

Hi, I don't get the "Don't use gel in your hair".
Why shouldn't I use gel in my hair?

If I don't use gel in my hair I will look like a dork.

Can someone clear this up for me?

Gel is 1990s and only good if you doing the Dragon Ball Z hair.

Product is what you're supposed to be using nowadays. Pomade, wax, etc.

I'd be interested in learning more about day game, as this would be my preferred environment rather than bars/clubs. I saw that it takes up a very small part of the syllabus - any chance of a bit more coverage in class? Would there be an additional fee for day game training?

Thanks,

g.

Generally, need to simply learn the mechanics of the interaction and, since bars and clubs are filled with people, these are the prime places to learn these skills. We don't go over day game much in the program because there will be a lot of information to process and retain throughout the three days. Especially with the added iGame opportunity (since I'll be there, anyway), the specifics of daygame are pretty far down on the list of stuff to learn, despite this being your preferred venue. If another training session was arranged, there would be an additional fee, as it's not part of the bootcamp syllabus, but I highly suggest focusing on this first blast of information before worrying too much about the specifics!

See you soon!

ah i see. I'm not sure what mine is called in english.
But here in holland everything is called 'gel' :P

I'm almost sure my hair won't be a problem.

Tango, I know this is a bit late, but try "Fudge Shaper". You can get it in most decent salons.

I bet they'll have it in the salons near the venue in Curzon Street. However it's expensive... about £12.
