where to take girl out in New York?

Hey guys,

I have a first date with a girl I met last month. We've agreed to meet up near 34th St in New York at 4pm. I figure we can get coffee or dessert or something and then maybe dinner afterward, but I don't know what to do or where to go after that.

I know that a dinner date is not ideal but I don't know what else to do since we'll probably be hungry. Are there any small lounges near 34th St, where I can take her? Preferably a place with a secluded area where we can kino/make out. I'd prefer it to be close to 34th St but a little further away is OK too.

Logistics are bad for me if I want to close. I'm living with my parents, so the only option is to go back to her place in New Jersey. Not impossible, but it'll be hard.

I'm mostly looking to just have a fun date and then see where things go, but I want to be prepared in case things go far.

I cant help you because I'm not from NYC. What I do know is NYC is one of the most liberal and largest cities in the western world speaking of population/building wise. If you cant find things to do or places to be you must be clueless. LOL

I know I'm late here, but go to Jules Jazz on 8th and 2nd ave. Its low lit, red lit, and has live jazz with no cover. The jazz can take the place of any awkward pauses in conversation.

I always go the McDonald's or something similar on a first date.

It is a perfect way of seeing if she likes seeing me or likes seeing me pay the bill.
