Hello,

After careful self-analysis as well as asking wingmen to observe me, I have determined that the #1 thing holding me back is my body language. I've always a ton of problems holding still; I'm constantly pacing around I'm just full a ton of nervous energy. Now understand, I'm actually not particularly shy or nervous when socializing (well at least not anymore) but I think I still give off that impression just because I'm always going 1000 miles per minute. Not only that, I talk fast and in a way that has earned me the nick name "marble mouth".

So has there been anyone who has had similar problems and been able to fix them? I'm going to try meditation but I'd love other suggestions.

I understand since I've had the same problems before. J.T's mentioned this before a few times.
If you can't seem to keep your hands still, stick your thumbs into your pockets and keep 'em there until you need to pull them out to kino or use them to demonstrate a point. As for pacing, I suggest standing with your feet shoulder width apart.

But all of those things don't matter unless your INNER GAME is congruent to it. Meaning, it'll only work if you're as confident as you are demonstrating.

Hi Sage,

Of course the hands in the pocket is great and also holding a drink in one hand down at waist level will give you something to do. A part of this problem is simply not being settled in yourself. Keep in mind that you have all the time in the world and there in no need to rush. We always suggest wiggling your toes to dispel all of that extra energy. Practice walking through the club in a slow, non-nonchalant way. This may be hard for you at first, but always try to trvale this way. The guy who rushes through the club talking a mile a minute will get the wrong kind of attention. The guy who is casually walking through the club, saying hello to people will be the guy everyone wants to meet. Hope that helps!
