Hey Juggyng,

here is my review of the Shredder Deluxe Package. I really liked this DVD set more so than Get Real. It gets into the meat of things and the video is focused mainly with Rich demonstrating his concepts with one of his students(his student takes a lot of punishment even for a simulation). Again, for a beginner Get Real is a good intro to the Shredder. Since I have some previous training, I really wanted to get into the meat of things and the Shredder Package was perfect for me. He really breaks down the Shredder concept peice by peice and the Tools and Target DVD really goes into the details of how you use the different parts of your body as a weapon and the set up for the shred. He tells you where the most advantageous points to attack on the body based on different scenarios ie. sitting down, standing up, pinned to the ground.

On the nerdy side, the filming of these DVDs was a better quality than the Get Real to me...(better lighting..ha ha). Well, in this package it was a personal instruction with Rich. It was like he was showing you one to one how the Shredder works. Get Real is more a video recording of his seminar.

I like to thank Juggyng for introducing Senshido to me. I feel invincible now. I am heading to a most dangerous bar in North Las Vegas to pick a fight..(just joking). After seeing the shredder, I understand very clearly how anyone can successfully defend themselves in some dangerous situations.

PS..I am opening a Wing Chun Shred School...just joking Very Happy

No prob SC, now the HARD part for you is finding a training partner who realizes that sen's training methodology is modeled after cutting edge LEO/Military force on force training and scenario replications that simulate real life situations as realistically as possible.

UMM SC... Rich was demoing sen tactics on Nick the greek freak at phase 0 and 1 intensity...bro, in Phase 2 the training intensity usually causes bruises, bloody lips, bleeding...scratches.....scrapes

like so:
Image

Phase 3Training is wearing the sen helmets and a groin cup as shown in the club venue scenario in the last part of the GET REAL semi and going full tilt boogie. And Sen dudes tend to taking this kind of punishment:

But even though we may be fucked up with injuries, we train and spontaneosly improvise with say..if ur Lt arm is broken so you can't use it to jam a knife slash...So if you don't do handicapped drills usiing a black belt to tie up one of ur arms to simulate aninjury and discover how to deal with that attack, well, u won't have a mental blueprint in ur head on how to respond if one of ur limbs are fucked , dig?
Also this "crazy punishment " is to earn the skillset in case one has to be able to teach students how to handle shit like this:
Image
LOL....so I like wine coolers Twisted Evil OH...Don't Drink and Shoot at Perps ,you might blow ur pecker off LOL...also, my stuetns are pussies, but SC, if u want to really train for real wold violence, try to ad in all the variables tha would most likely occur .
EG .since u go to bars/clubs, drink some vodka, wait tiil you get a buzz, wear old disaposable versions of pimped out outfits you weear when u sarge and train in that state. Goal is to train in as realistic a state emotionally, mentally, clothing wise...If U wear shoes most of the time, train in sold pair of shoe rather than sneakers..or high heels LOL
But my students don't want to be all battered and bruised Navy SEAL style so I really lowered the intensity and shortened the curriculum for Gatsby,Mancannon, Johnny W bc they work ...and have threesomes Smile

When sen HQ dudes train, everyone carries concealed a trainer blade, gun and while doing the warming up, to X tool and target development drill, to a modified street sticky hands drills, Rich instructs his students at anytime we want, we can suddenly jump anyone with or without weapons else who is training with his partner, or while running the stairs,Rich would be just lean on the wall and all of a sudden suckerpunch a random student and student would have to fight him off. To internalize RBSD as Counterambush.

EG ONe time, after class was over,I went to take a piss after class was over and Rich sent RobT, (the skinhead with the goatee in GET REAL who was verbally yelling at the female attendee) to mug me with a blade from behind while my cock was in my hand Confused ..I had to do get over the "OH shit...this can't be happening , class is over Confused" and put Rob down..

.SC if u see the point of sen students ambushing fellow students while they are focused on doing whatever, and find it of value u can add it to ur training to turbo charge ur awareness, intention to action reaction time..

That's why the hardest part is finding training partners . Rumble's having the same prob man.. most martial arts will not understand and think that sen is "crazy".bc most of Rich's customers are LEO/Military/ UC security/bouncers and door men, professionals who put lives in harms way as a job....and also normal people who were victimized by violence and did research to find Rich, who is really underground. He's only appeared in that Martial Arts Black Belt rag belt twice but is written in mostly in the Combat/Survival, LawEnforcement, and military magazines .

It took me one year to start finding dudes who were on the same wavelength as me SC...and most of them were meeting from a senshido seminar ...or just military combative dudes like Saffron and his NYC military hardcore buds, hooking boxers, big ass football players, gangbangers( this is dicey ,bc they will test u with that aggressive shit and you have to earn their respect)...But really no success in hooking martial artists. Hope u find better luck with ur wc sifu and si hings bro.
I've traveled all over NOrth America taking H2HCombat /RealityBasedSelfDefense , tactical shooting courses.. like http://www.RMCAT.com and just lucked out with Rich... we are always getting post action reports from SWAT/LEOs/ professionals who post like this UK TAG teamdefrief UK's SWAT:
Quote:
The lucky person in question was one of the area’s most notorious and violent characters. This drug dealer was one of the most feared men even in his own criminal circle. Whenever this guy was pulled in by the police, he would kick off in a big way. A custody sergeant told my friend, that it took 6 police officers the last time he was brought in to just get him in his cell.

My friend’s team arrived at this guys house in the morning in an unmarked van, all dressed in the gear It is my friend’s role in the team to smash the door down and boy does he love his job. He loves the adrenaline, smashing into some criminals home, his team bomb bursting in all directions, nobody knowing who will get some action or not.

The same drill began on this particular morning. My friend smashed in the door, the team fired off in several different directions to find the location of this tough guy. Then as luck would have it my friend stumbled across one of his team mates in a room already engaged in trading blows with this meat head.

My friend reacted immediately and launched himself onto this guy. Got him in a neck lock, establishing chest to back and took this guy down to the ground. He said with this guys reputation he wasn't about to take any chances, so, he shredded this guy until he began to scream and cry. When my friend had to release his shred to allow them to cuff him he whispered in his ear 'you make a f*****g move you c*** and I will f*****g blind you, do you understand me?'.

Needless to say this guy complied. In fact once cuffed this guy remained seated on his living room floor and said nothing, not a word. My friend describes it as he was a broken man, his puffed red face covered in small scratches and cuts, sat in his underpants, wallowing in his own misery.

My friend rang me after this operation had ended and told me the story. He was amazed not just with the shred, but with the psychological damage done to this feared man.

When the criminal was eventually taken to the Police station the desk sergeant could not believe it was the same guy.
...
and most LEOs hate to take additional training...so what they use must be learned and be able to be applied ASAP.

LOL, vut seriously, if u can find like minded dudes who are willing to earn their colors and form a training group by incorporating the stuff taht you like from senshido..you can start ur own sen training shred group once a week....and when you do, guess who came up with the Label "the Shredder... Wink ...I expect a canadian penny of ur earnings every time you mention the word "Shredder" SC.

Good hunting in finding TPs to train with bro.

Warren...I want to get some actioon too...the other kind of action
