I chose to review this book because its structure attracted readers the same way accurately executed sarging attracts women, especially with storytelling. Strauss, as a writer, knew how to make us give a crap about the characters.

One thing I'm thankful for is quotes. Reading those conversations between Strauss and Mystery, or Strauss and a target, or X and Y, was appealing to me because it felt like I was reliving something through his eyes. Why describe a conversation when you can recite it, even fragments?

Every other PUA-related book reads like an instruction manual. Nobody has yet to mirror the writing skills of Style.

I also appreciate the brutal honesty in the book. Strauss could've whored himself out to biased views and sugarcoated the characters. Instead, he revealed that even the best of the best PUA's are flawed. Readers (like me) who first learned of the community through this little black book weren't mislead to believe otherwise.

This book reflects how I believe one should act while sarging: Communicate honest truths in a way entertaining enough to hold the attention of the listener(s) and know when to pause, expand or advance to the next chapter.
