By posting your field reports ( instead of keeping it to yourselves ) you are putting your balls on the line because you are exposing your strengths and especially weaknesses to everyone..

Not everyone wants to be an open book. But if you do it, then you will improve yourself much faster..

Thats what he meant...

But sometimes writing field reports can be very tedious but I agree that there is a benefit of digging back into your mind to see what you did right or wrong and to learn from it.... and also to reinforce that which is proven to work for you...

OK I will post a field report ! Balls to the walls !
Ive had several responses in disbelief that Im actually 60 years old and signed up for a one on one with Gareth in LA.
Well, apart from having been the oldest living virgin outside of the Seminary, (51 was my first happy ending), I have lived my life as a social zero. Although Im not Asian, I was raised like one...im Jewish. No choices other than college, career, and financial success or Pergatory. So I retired last year at 59 quite financially comfortable, but notably unhappy. How many cruises staring at the waves, or tours of Europe, with questioning eyes...is he gay or did he leave his significant other behind. At one point I was seriously considering buying a gold wedding band so people would just gaze upon me as "normal".
I orginally signed up for the Chicago Premium Boot camp with Jt and Ben. There were seven subjects, the next youngest was 27. I found early that I was NOT part of the group when I was abandoned in the toilet taking a leak when the boys went out for dinner. After a heart to heart JT and Ben, I diverted most of my funds to an extended (five day) one on one with Gareth in Los Angeles. Friends and/or relatives that I dared expose this most embarrassing trip, told me that it was pointless, useless, wasteful and most of all STUPID.
So I arrived in LA with my hotel comfortably close to a McDonalds and Starbucks (im here)
Gareth had notebly changed the curriculum to accommodate my advanced age and psychological limitations. Iff we went to the bars. Is pain the word to describe my first attempt at set ??? I dig asian girls and Einsteins has an abundance. I think in Cleveland we got a total of 12 and thats the whole Chinese community. Wonder of wonders, I was actually conversing with flawless, intelligent, exotic extensions of our eastern neighbors. Lest you get your hopes up, I bombed four sets...slouching, hands in pockets, squeeky voice, fast verbage...in other words ...infatantile. Pressing on with instruction for the second night preview, discussion of actual physical contact and control. Back to W and Einsteins, actually had some long sets with three top notch candidates....but one who arm wrestled me for a remaining seat, only offered her name as Anonimous...I called her Ana. Another Hispanic who matched me in her background, Hygienist..declined giving a phone number given that I only a temporary member of the LA Valley community. Yo get the gist. I found myself parking in the smoking hexagon, palm reading a psychologist wanabee who found reality in primary school teaching...Was so overcome by her allowing me to hold her hand for fifteen minutes, that I didnt ask for a phone number.
My secnd day goal had been diverting two sets to other locations and getting at least two phone numbers. Mission failure.
Gareth, the consumate cheer leader, instead congratulated me on my endeavor...Returning to home turf, Travel Lodge, on Pico, I was just so close to sending the text...saying I was going to bail...but I slept on it and its day three.
No way splitsville for me. If I dont get it this trip there is always JT in Australia.
IM STILL HERE YOU BASTARDS ! (Steve McQueen...Papillon)

what happened to you malibu51? did you conquer your fears yet?

I really stumbled upon JT Tran by luck I swear!

Like him I was a Vietnamese born Canadian (he American I assume) that lived in the city but recently moved out to the, "Boonies" to help with the family business. Unfortunately where the boonies is... its full of people that grew up here so me being a SUPER minority compared to the metropolis where diversity is common.

Although I have a special case to myself, as I work in a nail salon environment so talking to women is something I practice everyday.

I had one serious relationship (first one too) for at least 4 years, then a 2 x 6 months from POF (both asians), and recently ended one after a year later (also asian).

So yup never had a Caucasian before and I'm hoping I can break new ground into doing so.

Sometimes though I go back to the city (one and a half hour drive) and boy them Asians are still sweet hehe.

Anyways glad to be part of the community!
