Howdy folks! I just signed up for the Nov boot camp in San Francisco and thought I should swing by and introduce myself now that I have taken the first step in dragging my sorry ass out of my self-inflicted exile. As they say, the first step toward recovery is to acknowledge the problem, and I admit I have a problem

.
I have known about the Community before Neil Strauss published "The Game" but shuffled through the various books and materials as leisure reading only. You see my friends, I really did believe in the saying that "do what you love and you'll meet her", and here is how it has worked out for me :
Interest 1 - Mountaineering
Now for some unknown reasons, carrying a 50lb pack straight up a vertical mile then climb another vertical mile through snow and ice just doesn't seem to attract many girls...
Interest 2 - Skiing
Ok, theoretically this one is pretty social, but apparently not the way I do it -- Day trip to Tahoe every Saturday! Meaning getting up at 5am, drive like a mad man for 2.5 hours, ski anywhere but the groomed runs for 7 hours, struggle to stay awake on the 3.5 hour drive back, pass out right after. -- The few times I went with social groups I couldn't stand the wait, I mean seriously, I'm here to SKI damn it!
Interest 3 - Firearms
Here in the SF Bay Area?

Looking back through eagle-eye hindsight, I have say that though I kept myself entertained over the years, my hobbies had also increasingly pushed me toward the outer boundaries of society. While I did mess around with a few girls, they were getting farther and farther in between until finally I woke up one day and I was like holy shit! I haven't even talked to a girl outside of work environment in years! And so now I'm here; time to add an Interest 4 - The Art
