the Thailand Trap

As a Decrepid Newbie only 2 days into a five day one on one with Gareth in LA, I had succumbed to the Thailand trap some time ago.. Having no game and a dearth of hunnies here on my home turf, I sought solace in the arms of young, flawless Thai, Philipino, Chinese, S'porean, and Lao spinners. Given that at most they had a sixth grade education, my Reubenescque profile and Jerry Lewis infintile jokes were well recieved. For those into trophy hunting, hell, Playboy centerfolds were bedmates by the dumpster load.
For my fellow expat self decievers, we were content to condemn our suffering homeboys back in the lower 48, as American Indians trying to put down the buffalo with bow and arrow. Hey look at us ! Who needs game ???
But if only we were to STARE into that mirror, ( I miss you Michael Jackson) our reality of loneliness is like a Frankenstine death grip. Its a lie, a shuck, a poor caricature of blow up doll !!!
The pursuit of a bod without a brain is akin to joining a cult. Not so far from the haze of crack cocaine. A temporary upper followed by a crash and burn along with that bad taste you get in the morning after liplocking a Tapir. Its hard to wax philisophical , when you count your "good times" as WASTED TIMES.
So...Gareth...if your listening...my assessment of my present level accomplishment after two days of five is...IM LAME.
Bullshit...If after the Five im still dwelling in the backroom of social climbers...count me in for Austrailia.

I understand..I been there and done that.

Before I even took the boot camp before I even tried a cold approach I suffered from massive insecurities and low self esteems. What I did to get a girl was to pay for it. It's not too much to get laid but more I paid escorts and hookers and you name it just to have a female company to fill my loneliness. And yes I did some world sex tourism. It's like a easy way out...you pay a girl and she soothes your ego and fill that emptiness that you have.

Cold approach or trying to get a girl the normal way is tough. You have to deal with dry spells, flakes, rejections , shit test , and amogging ...and just general bull shit that comes with it but in the end there is more satisfaction when you do get a girl normally. It's more real BUT I won't lie. There has been times when even now after 4 years after my boot camp I think about taking the easy way out and just going over seas and using my American wealth to land some girl.

But it's fantasy and I realize with escort or any of that there is a level of exploitation but when your lonely and feeling down you don't think about that. All you think about is having some cute girl by your side.

So I understand...

Each side derides the other. When I talk to my Expat buddies digging the scene in Pattaya or Angeles City, they put down the American woman as not worthy of their effort. Counter to that are my buddies state side who take the high road and seek companionship based upon an equal partner and all the challenges there of.
I actually got to the point of trophy hunting. Babes that represented a 10 on the chillometer. But, on reflection, their attention was hollow and it only attenuated my lonliness.
Im back in the real world. There is a lot I can do to improve myself. If I can put my ego asside during my painful transition to normalcy, my efforts will, im confident, result in a healthy relationship with a partner I desire.

I have mixed feelings about this since I have lived in Thailand for awhile. It's also somewhat easier to meet regular girls outside of stereotypical prostitution venues if you're relatively young in the 18-35 age range. It's also easier to get laid without ever entering into the ugly sex tourism nightlife cycle.

Asian men certainly don't have the same social barriers that exist back in the U.S. or other english speaking western country either. All in all i'd say it's still a positive place to be for AA men especially if you are tired of feeling like you have to prove yourself or overcome social expectations all the time. But it definitely doesn't reflect the much harsher reality of dating in the western english speaking world.

I don't feel it's a trap either. Simple because I don't view white American women or any other non-asian woman as somebody that I should be orientating myself specifically for or that it's somehow higher on the dating chain. I know this will come as a bit controversial to say it but I don't care much for the deeper personalities of many white American women i've interacted with or the usual look either.

I like the petite, slender, and sassy look on women. Loads of Latinas and Asian women have this figure/look and carry it convincingly. Your typical american white woman is usually heavier on average and follows U.S. trends and is narrowly shaped by U.S. culture in their attitudes and behavior. I don't give a fig about U.S. pop culture so there's already little to relate to on a deeper level once we get out of that initial stage. A lot of white women have curves and knockout figures but i'm not into the A category (blonde, blue, big breasts) quasi-porn star/pin-up look that JT and other guys seem really into on here. Ironically, when white women think that some asian men don't like how they look in my case that's probably somewhat true.

I have one exception though a lot of eastern european women are gorgeous because they have that lithe figure and darker haired features. I think someone like Olga Kurylenko looks gorgeous but she has that EE "look" that I find attractive. It's ridiculous to point to a supermodel and say "I like a girl that looks just like that!" but her general features are very commonly found in EE women.
I think Anglo women look different but just like any preference nothing is set in stone. A genuinely good personality and person is something no one should ever pass up.
