I don't claim to be an expert in fashion, but I have increased my interest and knowledge in this area. Dressing stylish in properly fitted clothing makes you look put together, will boost your confidence, and may make your approaches that much easier. It's a travesty what they allow in clubs these days! Kids wearing t-shirts and sneakers. The same boring untucked button up. The way I look at it, girls get dolled up and look sexy when they go clubbing. Why shouldn't we? You want to walk into a room and have girls see you and say "wow, that guy is sharp/hot/handsome". You want to stand out from the rest of the chodes, but not in the traditional "peacocky" way. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't influenced by J.T. & Gareth's dapper style. I am also an older gent, so it's more congruent for me to be suited up, than try to pull off the rocker look or some skinny pants bullshit.. Don't be afraid of wearing some color either! Stop wearing the same boring shit that everybody else does/ don't be a drone in the office, etc. A colorful dress shirt, tie, or pocket square can make you stand out. (In a good way)

There are tons of websites that give the basics of men's dress and style, but here are tips that might help my fellow slender Asian men:

Suits
Every man must have at least a couple of impeccably fitted suits. (Black, Grey, Navy) They don't have to break the bank either. Fit is more important than the brand. Know your suit size. The shoulder seams should fit exactly at the corners of your shoulders. The rest, (mostly) can be tailored. If you are slim, try to find slim/fitted suits. It's annoying that most suit arms are made for fat americans. I tried on a $2000 Versace suit the other day, and it didn't fit nearly as well as my $200 Alfani suit. Most off the rack suits aren't going to fit you perfectly, but they may be close. Do yourself a favor and take it to a tailor, try it on with your best fitting dress shirt. Have them take in the sides and alter the arms so 1/4 - 1/2" of your shirt cuff is showing. Trust me, it's well worth the $30-$50 to get your suit tailored.

Unless you want to look like a married business man, stay away from cuffed pants and pleats. Flat front, no cuffs give you a sleek and modern appearance. I can't stand this trend of shorter dress pants. I put on my dress shoes and have them altered to where the heel meets the sole. I think the general rule is to have a 1" break at the front of your pants.

Dress shirts
Again, get slim fit! It's annoying when guys wear shirts a size to big and have puffy billowing arms and midsection area. If you have some nice shirts that don't fit perfectly, spend the $20 to get the sides taken in, and arms slimmer fitting.

The Express MX1 shirt fits me pretty much perfectly: http://www.express.com/1mx-shirts-800/c ... /index.cat They also make an EXTRA slim shirt for those really skinny dudes.

I bought a few of these fitted Alfani's on sale for $20. (Don't knock them, they look SICK on me..;) http://www1.macys.com/shop/mens/apparel ... &!qvp=iqvp

I plan on trying out some custom fitted shirts. Here are a couple of sites:
http://itailor.com/ (Some friends ordered these for a wedding party. Great fit and material)

Ties
If you are a slender Asian guy, for god's sake, stop wearing regular width ties. I love skinny ties, I prefer 2.5" to 2.75". Anything larger and you'll look like a clown.. I do have some fat ties that I can't seem to part with because of either the material or the pattern, but I decided to keep them around for wearing with either v-neck sweaters or vests.

Here are some skinny tie sites:

http://www.buyyourties.com/skinny-ties-c-625.html

Experimenting with tie bars, pocket squares, bow ties & scarves.

Dress shoes
A pair in black, and pair in brown. Avoid shoes with bulky soles. I prefer sleek/stylish, and pointy toe over box toes.

Obviously there are guidelines to wearing colors that complement your skin tone, and mixing fabrics and patterns. I don't have time to go over it, you'll have to investigate for yourself, lol.

Here are some misc fashiony sites:

H&M also has a lot of inexpensive euro cut (slim) stuff, but be careful, some of their shit falls apart easily. If you are in the New York area, I found a lot of good stuff from Century 21. http://www.c21stores.com/stores They don't sell anything on their site, you'll have to actually go to one. But I always have to try clothes on anyways.

I've discovered things called "lookbooks". Basically, they showcase different fashion "looks". If you see something that suits your style, go out and copy it. It doesn't have to be the exact pieces, as most of this crap is expensive as hell. Just assemble the outfit out of similar looking pieces.

That is all for now..

Something to add:

If you live in around Manhattan, YOU MUST CHECK OUT UNIQLO. They used to have only one store in Soho, which is also the only location in the U.S., but recently built two more on 5th Ave and herald square.

It's cheaper than H&M, better quality than H&M, and fits amazingly. I swear by that place.

I am in the 'Man makes the clothes' category. I dress the way I dress and it has never slowed down any attraction from women.

I am usually in normal office wear on work days and near homeless appearing sweats and t-shirts on off days.

I own very nice clothing and will wear them occasionally when required. My girlfriend buys me nice clothing that fits well and I will dress nicely for her, especially when the occasion calls for it.

Clothes will not give you game if you have none to begin with. My opinion.

If you have some game, clothes may get you a slight edge. But then I wouldn't want to be with a woman who is attracted to me because of my clothes. My opinion and experience.

I can tell if a girl is into me by just looking at her eyes. I have seen the 'I want to fuck you' look/gaze so many times, I am pretty much numb to it. And they weren't looking at my clothes.
