I know this will get alot of eyes rolling and 'duh's... But I HAVE to ask, as this will be a huge step to make for me:
--> Do your clothes really determine your success rate, overall impression people have of you, and is it a wise investment on the long-term to spend a sizable amount of money on fashion?
Right now I'm really short on dough (Bootcamp and plane ticket), not mentionning professionally-wise the situation is bad. THAT BEING SAID, can changing my wardrobe improve my life in general and help me look more the part for jobs I'm trying to get (I'm a photographer, shooting models would be my dream!). Honestly, if its worth it, I can manage eating only dry bread for 1 year.
The clothes I have right now are downright teenage stuff or college level (not in a good sense), many of the formal (collar, long sleeve shirt) clothes date back more than 5 or 6 years ago when I was very much 'thicker', however they are now too large and look baggy. Basically all I have are t-shirts and sweaters that I have been wearing almost all the time, and sneakers that definitely make me look like a fricking school boy.
I've checked the main stores here in Paris (Zara, Celio...), most of their clothes are made in Asia... I'm thinking of supplying myself there instead if its gonna be cheaper. I'm mainly looking for collar shirts and a jacket (mine are WAAAAY too big, ridiculous), I always think of going for black, but since the bootcamp, I realize I need some more 'visual' stuff. Its a tough decision, I have no idea what should be a normal budget for clothes, especially a leather jacket, over here in Paris its never under 130 EUROS... I've found a shop that sells shoes for 16 EUROS, don't know if I should jump on it or they will break after a few hours...
I'm completely new to this, and I can't really afford to make mistakes with what I buy.
Any help is welcomed!
PS: 1 EURO is about 2 USD I believe.

Dadadadadadadadaada *drum rolls and the answer isssss YES!
The first time I ever witnessed the profound effect of dressing edgy was when me and JT were walking through the shopping center and he caught a lot of glimpses from people I noticed that first. He stood out and when we met up with the two models we were hiring for the boot camp. They were looking beautiful and had an aura of I’m so fucking pretty. Although JT’s face is not as good looking as Orlando Bloom’s, I must say he stood out a tiny bit more but enough for me to say he was definitely more attractive and dominant than them. He was also congruent with the way he dressed and how he carries himself as a man.
This is the profound effect in which you can achieve when you dress the way ABC’s is recommending. But don’t be in a rush if you’re short of cash take your time and make it happen. By the sounds of it your clothes sound so old and big for you that you need an update anyway. You don’t need to dress in expensive brands to stand out. In fact a lot of expensive brands sell using their brand name and they have shit design anyway. I seen Hugo Boss undies and shit for like $100? They look just like any other underwear now asks yourself weather buying that would be necessary.
Lastly here is a website for you to check conversation rates. www.xe.com

You wouldn't run the 100m dash wearing combat boots. Why make things hard for yourself? Clothes are the easiest way to improve your game.
I get more compliments on the $12 shirt I bought after joining the community than the $400 jeans I bought before joining. And while the dollar is not doing well, it's not THAT bad.

Here is one thing about fashion. Dress to attract the girl you want to get. If you were already boyfriend girlfriend with your dream girl, how would she want you to dress? If you're into girls who normally go for thuggish black guys, you gotta dress hip hop. If you're into girls who normally go for rocker guys, dress rocker. You see what I'm saying?
So right now what I'm doing is slowly changing my wardrobe... Not really cuz I have no dough. But I know what I would get. Here's the type of girl who I want to attract: Latina girl with a fat juicy booty. Big Thick Persian girl with huge ass titties and sexy to the touch. White girl with rap video ass. So basically I would have to dress a bit more Black - more hip hop/thuggish. Right now I'm basically wearing solid color button down, jeans and dress shoes. However I don't think I'd dress 100% ghetto like Sean John and Rocawear, but I would incorporate some hip hop style of clothing into myself while I'm dressed up. Actually I would like to dress up like TI or Pit Bull.
So start slow when you're trying to change the way you look. Get comfortable and congruent with it. And ask yourself who you want to attract?

Hey whats up bro.
I would suggest before you go out and you redo your wardrobe get a lot of examples and some female friends to go out and shop with you. I made the mistake of buying shit that I thought looked good but in the end I wasn't very happy with it or it really didn't fit the look that I was going for.

Also keep in mind different girls will have different opinions. Many will have opposite taste. Dont blame em girls have more variety of clothing styles than guys.

Ok thanks for the advice, right now I'm checking the price for clothes more than anything else. As I mentionned earlier, I can't spend much, so I'm thinking about a budget of around 200 EUROS for new shirts (long sleeve collar), 1 jacket, and a couple pairs of new pants (need a pair of jeans dammit...). I've seen some really cheap (less than 20 EUROS shirts), but I don't know about quality.
Will try shopping with girls or get some female opinion, there's a first time for everything.
PS: is there anything to avoid in order NOT to appear gay?

Go to Marshall's, Ross, Nordstroms Rack, TJ MAXX Go to Thrift Stores like Buffalo Exchange, Salvation Army.
I dunno what you guys have over there in Europe. But there should be stores where they sell brand name clothes for less. They have lots of clothes, but there may be only a few pieces out of a couple hundred items so you have to spend your time looking through them all in your size.
What kind of girls you trying to attract anyways?

I think fashion is very important. One of the my weakest area is fashion. I think the reason why is that I still struggle with finding my identity. I do agree you can dress in a way that a certain girl will find attractive but I really believe you have to be congruent with it.
I started to look at this web-site and I haven't order anything from that site but I wanted to get ideas in what to wear.

There's tons of great advice here, but let me add this.
1- Get someone to help you and model yourself after someone you think is your style and attracts the chicks that you want or get a girl that fits your style and get her to help you shop 2- Get rid of clothes that you haven't worn in 6 months. 3- Taylor your clothes. 4-Don't wear white sock with dark shoes. ;-) Wear high quality clothes. Think of yourself as a high value person and treat yourself that way. It tells your subconscious that you're high value and you will believe it.
