So, I just finished taking the bootcamp in LA last weekend. As I stated before, it was eye opening. I think now is the best time if any to start this challenge. Today, I'm going to the supermarket, car wash, and book store as I planned. During these times, at least one hot woman will be approached directly, I'll also throw in one indirect. Any day I don't do it, $10 bucks goes to my future bootcamp fund.

Day #1

Had a day off of work. Actually, I have the next few days off of work. I did errands the whole day hoping to get stuff done and, of course, to meet women.

First venue: Carwash
- Total bust. Just a bunch of illegals cleaning the cars and old people waiting for their Beemers and Benzes.

Second venue: The open mall
- Chicks galore. Problem ... they all look less than 18. The few that looked above 18 were with other dudes. I know, I know, they may not be going out. I'm not at the level of AMOGing yet though. There were a few potentials, but I was too chicken.

Third venue: The movies
- No hot women
- Watched Star Trek the movie ... that was a great film. I recommend it.

Fourth venue: The supermarket
- Hot women galore x 2.
- First set: Tall blonde (a little too blonde, almost albino looking). About a 6-7/10. Tried indirect. Both looking at chocolates. I say, "Decisions, decisions". I'm about to ask her what her favorite type of chocolate is, but she scurries away. Whatever.

- Second set: A very exotic looking girl, well dressed. She is standing by the milk section. I set my cart in front of her, she looks away. I choose my milk. I pull my cart out and as I pass her, I stop and say, "You have a nice style." She smiles, looks down and says, "Thank you". I state, "You're not from around San Diego are you?" (Thanks Gareth.) She explains that she is from Turkey and has only been in town for six days. She is here to study English. As she is talking I'm thinking to myself, "Damn, this woman is beautiful". She was about a head shorter than me, had olive colored skin, wavy brunette with blond highlighted hair, slender frame, stunning greenish/brown eyes, and had the cutest accent. That moment, my anxiety started to set in, so I asked for her name, introduced myself, and ejected.

- Third set: Standing by the cleaning supplies. A short burnette walks by me and stops next to me by the razors. I feign like I'm about to leave, but turn back to face the razors. I comment, "I would recommend this razor, but it's for guys." She giggle and says "I know." I explain that the company makes the same for women, but I can't make judgement's on those. She smiles politely. I eject.

So I accomplished my goal for the day. I directly approached one girl and halfway indirectly approached a second girl.

Thoughts: Why the F%#! do I eject so early? Why am I so afraid to continue with the C phase? I have enough bravery to initiate things just fine, but I am to afraid to push on, even when the woman gives me no resistance. It was a win since I accomplished my goal for the day, but I am disappointed. Still, small victory.

Sticking points: Must stay in set, especially if the girl is giving no resistance, and even if girl is giving an IOD. It's all about finding love, and it'll be worth it.

WTF, it's 1930. I'm going back out!!! Goal - two more sets!

Mad props. You went back out when you could've stayed at home.

I know you want to leave the set, but you gotta stay in there. Plow motherfucker, plow! You need more intent. You need 100% commitment. Because when you leave early, that's not 100% intent. Anyways, awesome job going out there. You're going to get good, I can sense it. It's cuz you got heart!

In SF, you get blown out for not having enough intent and not going at it 100%. When I first started out, I've been ignored many times cuz my approach was weak. Now, I've plowed from SF Downtown to Chinatown 5x! That's like 1 mile round trip, motherfucker!

Day #1.5

Extraordinary Desserts ... what can I say, a goldmine of beautiful women. Plus, the place has GREAT beer. Imported from Germany, Belgium, Holland ... heaven to the palate. Oh yeah, the desserts are okay. But TOTALLY, this place is the best of both worlds. It's not a "bar" even though it has a bar. So, the girls are not on "high alert" like when they are in the club/bar environment. One caveat - a lot of times, the girls are with their parents (aka < 18 even though they look like their 24).

Set 1 - I sat at the waiting chairs because the bar was full. While I was there, a few sets passed me by. Girls were cute, BUT, they had what looked to be parents with them. So I deferred. My intent was to go to the bar and sit next to a four set of latin women 2/4 girls were > 6/10 from what my quick glance inferred. Before my seat opened up, a two set came and sat right next to me. A cute brunette and cute blond. I give both about 7-8/10. Super adorable. I made a comment about how the restaurant was making them wait in three different lines just to get a dessert. The brunette next to me laughed and said, "Yeah, this has been a long wait." I then said, "You guys aren't from SD are you?" (Thanks again Gareth, this line opens so many opportunities). The brunette said something along the lines of she was from SD, but her friend was not. She seemed slightly offended that I thought she was from out of town, but I said that she "had a different look and feel about her, and it was a good thing." This was 100% true because she had a very friendly demeanor and a poise to her that the typical SD beach bunny doesn't have. I then told them where I lived and where I traveled while I was on the east coast. The brunette inquired what I did for a living, my reasons for being in San Diego, etc. She was very amicable. I saw that my seat at the bar had opened, so I asked for their names and introduced myself. I then ejected. Once again ... I did not ask for a number. WHY do I do this to myself? Girl was obviously interested in my company. Should have put my ass on the line.

Sticking point: stop ejecting!!! Be committed 100%. My goal is easy ... get to C, ask for a number. Gotta do it.

Juggernaut - Thanks for the advice. Tomorrow is a clubbing day. Goal - 10 sets, get to "D", number close as much as possible.

Hey all. Here's a recap of day #2

Venue #1 - Stingaree
- The best looking girls from San Diego come to Stingaree. PUAs everywhere. How do I know? I see some dude thumb wrestling with two chicks, another dude "best friending" a pair of chicks, and me running the ring finger routine. Funny stuff.

Set #1 - Dance pick up.
So I'm dancing with my friends. Three chicks and three dudes. Not interested in my friends because well, they're my friends and I wanna keep it that way. So, there is a cute brunette next to me 8/10. I booty bump her. She's into and laughs. I laugh back. I disengage to get back with my friends ...

Set #2 - Dance pick up.
Miserably fail with a crazy Asian chick. Runs to her male friend.

Set #3 - Dance pick up
Short, a little chubby, but still cute and surprisingly sexy brunette, with tanned skin, likely of Mediterranean ancestry. I come in with Mach 5 worth of energy and ask if I can dance and she says "hell yeah". We dance and grind a bit, but it soon fizzles after two songs. JT advice on dance game was totally true ... I can't remember what he said because I am inebriated, but the essence of what he said totally applied.

Set#4 - "Indirect direct" opener
"Indirect direct" openers are wimpy. Some girl was wearing pearls and I made a comment on how they looked good. I should have remembered what Gareth said about the girl with cheetah ears. THEY WEAR IT FOR ATTENTION. DO NOT COMPLIMENT OBVIOUS ACCESSORIES. How would you go about this again Gareth?

Set #5 - Direct opener
So, I finally grabbed my manhood and went direct. You know, it is so much easier in a club because people are expecting it. I saw a super cute latina 8.5/10 and I did a direct kamikaze saying that she was "so cute" which was 100% true. She smiled and said thank you. We exchanged names and other stuff I can't remember. I ejected and kept my winnings there. Wow, I'm a total pussy.

Set #6 - Direct openner
Cute 7/10 redhead is standing idly. I say she was "cute" (not SO cute like the latina). We exchange names and I noticed she was wearing two rings. I asked her why she chose those two fingers and she said that they "fit". I pulled the whole "interesting, I am familiar with Greek mythology" (which is true ... read Edith Hamilton's Mythology, it's one of the best books of all time) and use Style's ring finger routine. Good kino. She appears to enjoy this. I leave the set.

There were about three more sets. I am sleepy. Until next time.

Were you expecting there to be TONS of chicks at Star Trek? LOL I think they ran away from that.

Anyways, you can try this: Stay in set UNTIL THEY LEAVE. Do it once or twice, then you'll see how long you can actually stay in set.

Thanks weneedhelp. So simple, yet so true. I'm gonna do it. I guess my fears are awkward silences or having the conversation stagnate. I have to face that so that I will know how to deal with it.

Boom boom plow, motherfucker! ;)

I think after you run into the same situations, you start coming up with your own solutions - ie your own responses/routines to engage that situation. Here is mine for "awkward silences" :

When you run out of shit to say or if she is hella quiet:
"I read in a book that 90% of attraction happens when there is silence." <- Credit Vince Kelvin

It usually gets a laugh, but it's still quiet or she may even say something.

And here is where I got creative:
I cut her off immediately, "Shhh Shhhh Don't force it. Just let it happen naturally." She laughs her ass off. Her BT is up and she opens up.

Give it a shot. :)

Juggernaut. Thanks for the advice. I will have to remember that bantering.

So comes day three of the thirty day challenge.

Venue #1 - On Broadway
- This is a fun club in the outskirts of the Gaslamp district. There are two stories to the club, five dance floors, three large bar areas, and a restaurant. The crowd is mostly twenty-somethings from nearby colleges and young professionals. Interestingly, there are mostly Asians and Latinas in the club (my kinda place).
- So I get there about 1015. I warm up using the exercises APB suggested. I would go around the room saying cheers and hello to random people. I did this for about 30 minutes.

Set #1 - Dance pickup
- They were having none of this

Set #2 - Dance pickup
- Saw a four set. Danced in front of the group smiled big and chessy to a girl across from me. She smiled back. I high fived her from across the group and she reciprocated. She was giggling. So, I strutted around her group and came up to her. Motioned for her to come closer to me and she did. We danced, grinded a little, chatted, and danced some more. She seemed into it. Then her three other friends decided to leave and pulled her along. That sucked.

Set #3 - Direct opener
- Saw a 7.5/10 Latina in a white skirt type thing. I pulled the Kamikaze "you are so cute". She at first looked at me weird, then she smiled, said thanks, looked down, and away. I didn't initiate any further.

Set #4 - Direct dance pick up
- So I had already tried to infiltrate about three other dance groups with marginal success. I was about to leave and spotted a sexy latina on the edge of the dance floor dancing alone. I swoop in. I actually don't remember how I dance approached her ... I don't think I asked her to dance, I may have just walked up, made eye contact, smiled, and started moving with her. She gleamed a huge smile back ... this girl was a super, super cutie. Such a heartfelt and brilliant smile. We danced, we chatted, we laughed, we relaxed, we kissed, we made a connection ... Wow, she was awesome. That's all the details I want to divulge. She left with a friend who wanted to go home.

Other Sets - Couldn't stop thinking about that one girl
- Approached other girls for practice, boomerang variant, direct dance approaches, with marginal success, but I was not trying hard. I was still thinking about that one girl.

So, tonight was a HUGE success. I don't know if I'll ever see that girl again. I will definitely try to set up another date, but we'll see if she wants to go out. No matter what happens, I'm glad I made that brief connection. I'm happy.

Day #4 - my day of rest ...

Day #5
So I'm visiting my family in Temecula. I'll admit it, I've been lazy and I've also been thinking about that one girl I met at the club on Friday non-stop. I know, I know, watch out for the "oneitis".

The area my family is in, Temecula, is mostly filled with families. Not many singles. I think that the multitude of other approaches I made the previous days should carry on for today ... j/k. I'll make up for it tomorrow. Going to bookstore, coffee shop, and groceries tomorrow. Four sets to make up for the two I did not complete today.
