@SmoothDoc

Right on! You're doing the right thing by pushing yourself! I was actually with JT and Gareth yesterday, and I told him about this challenge I'm doing, he says it's good that people have the self-motivation and can do this stuff without being asked to or have some sort of outside stimuli to get them motivated.

What motivated me was I evaluated my eating habits and exercise, and saw my belly. I didn't like seeing that flab, not cool, so it was a 30 day challenge to put my balls on the line. I like what you're doing with yours too, keep it up SmoothDoc, and thanks for the positivity and optimism, I appreciate it a ton.

I've got a couple of days to make up for because of some crazy graduation stuff, a couple of parties I went to, and a very fun time with JT and Gareth on the 28th.

DAY 22 - Monday

Worked out, nothing new, the weights are feeling lighter, trainer is happy, he got me more ultrameal. I didn't feel the burst of energy I usually get in the morning because of a lack of sleep. I noticed some extreme soreness in my shins. I talked to the trainer and he said to back off the running tomorrow because I was starting to develop some shin splints. I needed to go get some running shoes. I did exactly what he said and plan on running Thursday.

Went out that night too, with a professor. We went to one of his favorite bars and had drinks. He got me incredibly sloshed... I opened up a few girls, but got rejected, then my professor basically force fed shots to me and some other guys. Weird night.

DAY 23 - Tuesday

Woke up extremely hungover. Said to myself, Fuck it. I shrugged it off pretty quick, ate some fruits and veggies throughout the whole day. I ended up reading a lot today, just to keep my mind occupied. I also looked through a few PUA posts and just took it easy today.

Went out that night with a different professor. We had drinks, she said some weird shit.

"SUCKING DICK AND EATING BREADSTICKS!? NO WONDER YOU GAINED WEIGHT!" - to some drunk ass sorority girl

"Guile, I could take my shirt off and 10 dudes would follow me out of this bar." -

My friend wanted some drunk food after the outing. We went next door to a pizzeria and while he indulged himself in a pizza, I just had water. A drunken sorority girl comes up to us, fairly attractive, but super flirty and using guys all around them to get pizza and beer.

Girl: Can I have a bite?
Me: Get outta here
Girl: But you're asian, and I LOVE YOU.
Me: I said get lost, just because you're pretty doesn't mean you can act like a little shit wherever you go.
Girl: But I'm drunk...
Me: Don't care

Maybe I was a little harsh, but just seeing the guys fawn over that girl and seeing her get some poor chump to buy her a whole pizza just makes me somewhat jaded.

DAY 24 - Wednesday

Less than a week left... I worked out with the trainer, felt a little harder today for some reason. All this alcohol is starting to get to me... Need to cut back a bit more.

Spent the rest of the day practicing and writing, got another commission from a local school i finished today, and it sounds fantastic. Worked on some music for my video game project as well. Good fun, good progress

DAY 25 - Thursday

This is the day JT and Gareth came down to University of Chicago to speak. I was with the 2 of them all day, driving them around and being a host for them. I had a ton of fun, lots of laughs, and learned a crap ton of stuff about life and pickup just being around them. Plus the talk was a great refresher for me since my bootcamp was about 3 months ago.

The only thing body-wise I did today was run 1.32 miles in 12:44. It's alright, but I chose a more uphill route this time around. It's much more difficult for sure. I don't think I really lost that much, but I'm going to hope to improve my running times.

I'm down to 180 lbs and 18% body fat now.

Another gaggle of days to catch up on, but this will be my FINAL post for this challenge with some notes for everyone to check out.

DAY 26 - FRIDAY

Came back to Bloomington today to work out some graduation crap. I spent most of my day moving out of my room and getting stuff ready for Sunday (graduation from college!!) Super excited. Meals were meager, consisting of veggies, fresh fruit, dried apricots, and some beans. Cheap food, done fast. No problemo there. Worked out with the trainer again, it was really great to pump the iron and not think of leaving Illinois. In a weird mood... I'm leaving everything behind here, but for bigger and better things in LA. Stoked

DAY 27 - SATURDAY

Day before graduation, head feels funny, but I'm still gonna rest today. I did not have a bad meal today, since the parental units want to go out tomorrow after the graduation ceremony. I just spent the night with my girlfriend, who I will be leaving along with Illinois... Sad day.

DAY 28 - SUNDAY

Graduation day, Chinese buffet with the rents, tons of pictures. I went for an evening run, but I didn't time myself. I ran and ran, but stopped when I hit the overpass and just looked at the school. I'm feeling really sad that I'm leaving. The rest of the day was spent packing up for home, I'll have to take several trips back home to get all this crap back. Drum set, futon, TV, moving sucks...

DAY 29 - MONDAY

Worked out with the trainer this morning. I looked at myself and saw a huge change in body composition. I'm actually comfortable walking around without a shirt on. My girl really enjoys the new body and I think she's more DTF now. Drove back to Rockford today, hung out with the parents and talked about California.

DAY 30 - TUESDAY

LAST DAY OF MAXIMUM BODY/MIND. Holy crap, I did it!

I'm a little in awe that I actually went this entire time with just a handful of bad meals. I'm seeing that all it really takes for getting the body you want is

1. Consistency
2. Knowledge of how to work out
3. Balanced Diet

I just picked up a copy of 4 Hour Body by Tim Ferriss. I will be doing some more experimentation later. Gonna take an after picture for you all as well. I hope you all enjoyed reading my 30 day challenge. My next endeavor will probably be the 30 day direct approach challenge, but I will probably focus on moving out of Bloomington and getting my ass over to Thailand. I still have a lot of work to do, and it's all on my own time. I'm glad I created this challenge for myself and I hope to create a "HOW TO WORKOUT" guide with principles of exercise from my personal trainer, so you can all follow this path. This was not an easy thing to do at first, but after a week, you will start to see results and your body will become accustomed to the incredible change you're making that will be lifelong.

In the words of APB,
"Empower Yourself!"

Mr. Guile
