Ace's 30 day direct challenge

Day6 (Saturday) went direct at a party... can be viewed in the FR I posted
day 7 (sunday) I was feeling a little down plus on weekends most people stay indoors... not as lively as when classes are in session. So this day will be counted again
Day 7(Monday/Today).. again
due to my laziness and being away from the challenge, it was kinda hard to get back into the challenge. I was working at the library. Let some opportunities pass by but then I was like fuck it.
I feel a bit more confident approaching blonds and they give me less AA so I was like wth let's start there. Picture the scene. I am working at the desk. A blond HB enters the place. She is walking by. I have already let too many opportunities pass by. Fuck it. It's go time. I am not even supposed to leave my desk when working but who cares. I walk over to her really fast. I already knew what I was going to say.
Me: Excuse me.
HB: On campus, people don't approach people out of nowhere so not only her but a girl around her also turned to see what I have to say. They probably thought I was going to say something library related like you can't drink here etc etc. At this point, four eyes of girls are fixed upon me. W/e comes outta my mouth is gonna be heard by them. (note to self: There will always be people around... there is no hiding from that so might as well do it). Anyways back to the interaction, her eyes are fixed upon me,
Me: That red coat looks adorable on you. (nervous voice plus spoke a bit fast even though my body language was pretty spot on)
HB: Aww thank you, while smiling.
Me: noticed a cool chain on her neck and walked back. Could I have continued the interaction? Sure but I just needed to break out of my mini-shell that I was in.

One other thing I have noticed is (this is based on my observations so far) is a lot of girls have boyfriends... for example, I number closed one of the girl on the weekend... she was super cute... saw her making out. I know other guys are cool talking to girls with boyfriends, but I get very nervous when I find out that she has one. Gotta work on that as well.

Day 8
I gotta be more ballsy...
Some of my old habits such as AA have started to creep back in...
today I couldn't go direct at all
So I did do two compliment approaches:
while walking I noticed an HB wearing a really cool scarf
Me: hey. that's a really cool scarf you have.
HB: thanks
Me: It's so colorful. mine is all black and shit (should not curse). Where did you get it?
HB: Old navy
Me: Old navy? (surprised for real)... I thought they stopped making cool clothes
HB: They are back now.
this entire convo takes place while we are walking and at this point I put my head phones back on which I had taken off and kept walking.

Approach # 2
Kept trying all day to approach. Nice weather meant HB's all over wearing sexy outfits. AA creeping back in. Could NOT go direct at all. Fucking cock!!!
Finally engaged an HB black who was not that hot, just to get the monkey off my back.

In regards to your last field report, this is something I found particularly useful when it came to gaming girls at the neighboring computer terminal when I was back in college. There are always a ton of hot girls at computer terminals and all you have to do is just post up next to them.

What I would do is walk in and pretend to be rushed. I'd log into the computer terminal, look over once, look back at my screen, pretend to check my email or some jazz of the nature. I'd look back over and say (being sure to keep my body facing my computer so that I'm not creepy and giving too much value and my voice tonality was expressing that of calm curious interest":

Me: "Hey, this is going to sound a little out of the blue and I rarely do this, but I just had to say, you are so wicked cute"

Her: "Oh, thanks"

Me: "What's your name?

Her: "I'm HB"

Me: "Well Pleasure to meet you HB"

At this point, try to spark up some conversation, keep it going for as long as you can

Me: "Tell you what...(pause for a sec)... let me add you on facebook (you're already at the computer), look her up and add her right there right then." It's a low investment close.

At the time I was fudging around with this, I managed to use that and convert 1 of 3 girls into a day 2. Go test drive it

Day 9
A bit better today....
Still had AA and was ignoring sets...
As I was walking around the coffee shop of the campus I pass a HB. Her eyes meet mine and she was pretty cute. But, thanks to my AA, I walked past her. But I thought to myself, you know what it's now or never. So I go back and looked around , there were like 3 people around us. Fuck... there is no such thing as an easy set... always have to go through fire o well let's just go
Me(touching her): Hey, I just wanted to tell you that you look adorable today
HB: Smiles... thank you. I thought she was American but turns out she was either European or Turkish... due to her heavy accent.
Me: My name is Aj
hb: My name is HB
Me: what are you doing here ?
Hb: just getting breakfast
me: All by yourself? I think I kinda made her feel bad when I said that
Hb: No.
me: Waiting for a friend?
Hb: nervous smile
At that point I said I gotta get doing and left.

Why the hell would a cool, calm, confident guy ask her if she is by herself?

Day 10
I made a plan to wake up early and start early but long story short I woke up late...like 1 pm late... good thing my classes are mostly in the afternoon.
approach # 1
I was sitting in the library. There is a girl like 5 rows away from me and I could only see the top of her head. My class is about to start and I only have like 5 minutes left... let's just do it. I walk over to her and see her face. I walk back to my computer.. chicken out a bit...then decided to go back again....
Me: Excuse me. I just had to come over and tell you that you look really cute
HB: Big smile. thanks

Talked more after the initial opener but the act of going direct is so ballsy that when I finally do do it, I run out of emotional energy.


Approach # 2
There was a big flag and some kind of advertising going on for some event I have no clue about. Two HB's are promoting it (HB 9 and HB 8.5). What the hell. Let's just see this....

Me: Hey guys whats this all about
Hb (# 1 who is a 9). O we are selling tickets for Korea night.. one of our biggest events, this Saturday. Tickets are 10 bucks
Me: O ok cool. but I don't have any money on me right now
HB: Today is the last day we are selling advance tickets.
Me: O OK. Then I go on promoting some event that my friend was taking part in (actually he is running for Financial vice president of the entire campus so I tell them to vote for him)
HB: listens and says o ok.
Me: at this moment.. this girl is obviously hot what do I comment her on? Her yellow hoodie? or her face? But then I look at her eyes... they are really nice) BTW you have really nice eyes
I actually meant that.
Hb: O ok...thanks (smiles).
things I did well: Approached (in my humble opinion) HB's that are at least an 8 and above and actually complimented her... usually I have been stuck going direct on the 7's and 7.5's... this is probably the hottest girl I have went direct on.

could not do much except give a random compliment to some chick who had was peacocking in a mystery style hat... the female version.

day 12:

Approached a 2 set who were really dressed up in the dining hall
Me: Hey, I am just curious, why are you guys dressed up?
HB's: O we are doing this for some pre-medicine event
Me: Wow that's cool. You guys are trying to go to med school. I tell a quick funny story about how I was pre-med until I took bio 101 and it all changed.
HB's: Mild laughter
Me: whats your name?
HB's: (A bit reluctantly) introduced themselves. One of them looked at me like huh?
I think I jumped into intros too fast. At that point, realizing that I had made a mistake, I ejected.
While they were leaving I said: have a good night

My post bootcamp high has definitely worn off and even the simple act of approaching is an accomplishment for me (sigh)

been procrastinating for a while. but yesterday I went direct.
Situation: at a cafe
Sitting with: My friend... I seriously need to learn how to do this alone.
Playing: UNO cards
Who walks by: A blond HB all dressed up.
What was she doing: putting up flyers.
What do I do:
I walk over as she was walking towards me.
AA level: pretty slim. Once I make the decision to do it, it's go time.
Me: Excuse me. But I just had to come and tell you that you look adorable tonight
HB: Smiles.. O thank you
Me: my name is ace
HB: I am HB

Me: So what are you up to?
HB: o nothing. just putting flyers for this volunteer event
Me: cool. I make small talk about how I am part of this xyz organization that does voulnteer work as well.
HB: gives me a flyer
Me: then we say bye and depart.
